I already bought them. He's literally the only internet person I gave money to. And I get triggered when I see patron mentioned in anything. His content is kind of worth it. It's what like an hour to 2 hours of actual content instead of 10 minutes of literally fucking nothing like every other youtuber.

Rob has a whole video shitting on 237, and shits on it when people bring it up. He was offered to be part of it but declined.

Most of his thoughts are so well researched that they are convincing and he always frames it in a way that makes him varying degrees of certain. Like some shit if hes not sure he'll say hes not 100% convinced himself.

Also it was funny to year him talk about trannies in silence of the lambs

Rob is pretty cool. Definitely someone who cares and has decent taste in movies. But he is a bit limited considering he thinks Jordan Peterson is a correct about anything (Peterson is a nutcase).

Overall though Rob's ALIEN analysis is kino. I once bought two of his short films. One was shit, with a guy hanging from a house window or something, but one was pretty good. It was about a guy who gets abducted by serial killers, then pretends to be one which puts his captors off-guard. Some good writing there.

I'm nowhere at all close to the level of Rob, but I do like to analyise older films, talk about cinema, christ, and writing. Maybe have a look if any of those things are for you.

That's exactly what I like about him.
I may disagree but he always presents it as his own opinions.
I thoroughly enjoyed his The Thing sequel idea, it was basic yet well thought out for a basis for a film.
He has literally linked to Yea Forums from his twitter account arguing with the users. He might have actually shilled here when Yea Forums wasn't so shit but who cares, he's a decent content creator and back then it wasn't so egregious.
OK, maybe the 237 was a crap example, Rob never went as far as I've seen, as nooney as that, someone with significance and a brain needed to call that shite out..

he has some retarded ideas like anybody else but watching his videos actually gave me a new perspective on how to analyze movies, I didn't pay that much attention to behind the scenes footage before I saw him pick it apart and that allowed me to clue in some stuff I didn't before in movies he hasn't even watched

Rob is not worth listening to. He doesn't read any film theory, read what other critics have said, or engage with anything beyond imdb movies. He's the epitome of fake deep. There is nothing gayer than thinking Tarantino is a genius.

He'd rather speculate on insignificant points, eliding the actually interesting elements of movie, than put in the hard work of research. His content is for gamma males who aren't interested in film but want the easy satisfaction of "learning" something they can brag about to people who don't know any better
