Top Show of the 10s Tournament

I'm an hour later than I wanted to be but I'm back again with our next stage of the TV tournament, today is about wittling down category nominations.

Yesterday we got a lot of nomination suggestions. I've added a few more to the categories that were lacking but the Drama and Comedy suggestions had too many.

They'll be two strawpolls below, vote for the shows you DO NOT want to make it to the actual tournament. We need to cull 3 comedy shows and 2 drama shows.

After that it'll be onto the actual vote with the next thread. I've began filling in the sheet and will continue to with the rest of the drama shows that recieved more than 1 vote. I'm using random.org to assign their places so it's all fair.

Again, as stated in the last thread that is Yea Forums. If you wanted a Sneed meme you could have thought of a show with Chuck or Seed in the title or a charecter named Sneed. If the majority of a shows run was in this decade it can qualify.

If this goes well I'd be happy to do tournaments for other decades and I'm sure that'd do well in a comedy category.

The rules for the nomination thread were as follows:
1. No animated shows (that is for Yea Forums tournaments)
2. It obviously has to fit the stated genre.
3. Vote for as many shows as you want.
4. The show has to have had a majority of it's run in this decade.
5. Once this thread dies, if we have mutiple nominations with the same number of votes it will go down to a strawpoll in the next thread.(ie this current thread.)

Again, I'd be happy to do tournaments for other decades if this one goes well and I'm sure both The Wire and Sopranos would do very well in such a tournament.

Leftovers would probably be my personal choice or True Detective if it was only 1 season but I think Twin peaks will win. Also The Terror should be included.

If I do one for that decade and people nominate it sure. The way I see it, if it's balanced over two decades it can quality for either.

I wasn't getting nominations and I've only auto-qualified shows that
A) Got more the 1 vote OR
B) Were added in a category missing nominations.
The reason for B was that I had already had 2 nomination threads. Any of my nominations in Comedy or Drama that did not get a second vote are in the polls now and may not make it to the tournament, which I'm fine with. People were simply not suggesting domumentary series or many Sci-Fi / Fantasy series, so I tried to flesh them out a bit with critically acclaimed and highly popular shows that I have seen being discussed on Yea Forums in the past, not ones that I have necersairally watched.

You must be a newfag because Yea Forums has done this for best film of the year and best shows etc. You make a series of threads over the course of a week or two, so people can see it. I didn't even know about this shit until 15 minutes ago. Let people vote over that period of time and then the top 10 or 15 or whatever for each category make the tournament.
