She’s actually my type.

Lady Bird is a cunt and a whiny self-entitled bitch.

Imagine solidly smashing her in the face with a cast iron pan, bros

She has been turned down from Marvel roles several times.

Elizabeth Olsen beat her out for Scarlett Witch.

Wow what retards. DChads get on this shit.

Imagine her as Catwoman opposite Pattinson. Fuck just gave myself goosebumps.

Is she really a lesbo?

It's about time we got a chunky catwoman

I’m actually feeling the idea of her as catwoman. I just watched Lady Bird this week and have to say I’m crushing on her. It will go away in a day or two when I get bogged down in the career bullshit again but she’s so different.

thicc sershe hasn't been seen near anywhere in more than three years

Can I barrow some gas?

You're right she is whiny, self-centered, and inconsiderate. It's almost like it's a movie about a teenager.

It was a nice coming of age movie and that's it, not the masterpiece everyone seemed to think it was. Some of the things like the football coach replacing the acting priest were kind of amusing but on the whole it was just okay and that's that.

Do you have to be a woman to understand this movie?

I agree basically but it I did enjoy the subtext it seemed to be pushing. The idea that being a liar; being ashamed of your working class parents who do everything for their kids; sleeping with fuckboys; partying it up etc was leading her nowhere and she was better off being who she was: Christine. When she gets to New York she questions some dude about his belief in a God and surprisingly made him look foolish. Her final message to the mom after going to church in New York she refers to herself as Christine to her mom Marion. (Christ and Mary).

>asinine identical coming of age spoiled atheist party slut moving to new york omigosh the movie
Yes only women appreciate these

I didn't put that last part together myself. Not half bad user, not half bad.

Does anyone feel bad for Saoirse?

She gets critical acclaim and is an indie darling but has for years tried to break into big box office. In that Stephanie Meyer book movie. Appled for loads of blockbusters like Marvel films. Never gets there.

She has sex with one person and is disappointed by the experience and with herself after the fact.

she has three houses now, spends like 90% of the year traveling with friends, not bad at all.

>I was just finding myself, he wasn't "the one"

She also dunks on the atheist frat boy at the end

Honestly I think the reason women liked Lady Bird so much is that it fulfills their fantasy of wanting to rebel against the social structure (family, suburbia, religion) before ultimately finding safety within it.

Yeah it's not like the movie goes out of it's way to get you to sympathize with her despite the fact that her character doesn't change at all.

Based

This is true and the movie is clear about the family model being essential to forming a good child. Her dad is a good man who loses his job but respects his daughters dreams. The mom is sorta wearing the pants causing friction between the two. They’re both good parents but it seems Lady Bird was realizing she didn’t have life so bad in the end and still needed her mama. Not so independent after all

A Quiet Passion > Lady Bird

>”The spiritual payoff comes at the end of the story. Lady Bird arrives in New York, still alienated from her mother, still brooding and unhappy. She drinks too much at a party and finds herself in the hospital. In the bed next to her in the emergency room is a very young boy, his eye bandaged, sitting next to his mother who gives him comfort. It triggers something in Lady Bird.

Wandering away from the hospital, she realizes that it is Sunday morning, and she enters a church, where she listens to the dulcet tones of a choir singing the praises of God. Moved to tears, she commences to recall the religious services, the priests and the nuns who had shaped her. She then leaves a message of apology on her mother’s cell phone.” Bishop Robert Barron

She does change.
