They were still fighting a war, which, by this point, they were promptly losing and all these camps had to be evacuated.
They were trying to keep all of it secret, which has its own endless set of complications that I shouldn't have to go into (keep in mind how they found this particular satellite camp in a forest)
They used these men and women for slave labor, which became desperately more important after the Axis were put on the backfoot in every major theater. It simply wasn't economic to murder them after '42 (in fact, records suggest that the height of the extermination process was in '42, which was curiously also the same year the Axis began faltering both North Africa and Russia).
German efficiency is chiefly an Allied propaganda concoction, done to cover for the ridiculous mistakes in the first three years of the war. It's also a result of many old German officers giving the the Allies their own rather rose-tinted view of how the war was fought from their perspective (the British, French and Americans are obviously not going to know much about what happened on the Eastern Front, which is incidentally where most of the Jew killing happened, so who better to ask than West German veterans who have long since pledged their allegiance to the west?)

People were dying literally every hour due to how poor the conditions were. How, exactly, does this reflect positively on the Germans? A lot of you guys say the Holodomor counts as a genocide even though it wasn't intentional, rather a result of the supremely retarded scientific decisions of the pro-Stalin government. Well, let's be as generous as possible and say this was the result of German negligence, rather than a concerted effort to kill them. They still died, didn't they? Frankly, "Allied bombing" shouldn't make a fucking difference. Bergen-Belsen, at its peak, had 100,000 people in it. Let's say the Germans *truly* had no intention of killing these people despite these abhorrent conditions; it's still no fucking wonder typhus spread and people died. Yet, this can't be fairly counted amongst the numbers of the "holocaust"?
