Yeah. I enjoyed it so much that it immediately filled me with a sad realization that that's the best tv is gonna be. Too many shows get greedy and make a fuckton of filler seasons, or just become reddit-bait with tons of "epic moments!!!" because the writers are asleep at the wheel.
Breaking Bad is pretty much what I had in mind. Luckily TD S1 can't be ruined anymore. Unless they were to do some cringe "True Detective Crossover!" shit. I doubt Mcconaughey and Harrelson would be willing to do that, though.
