Lady Eboshi, who represents trade, industrialization, and gun ownership, is very clearly the secret protagonist of the movie. the only time she goes wrong is when she partners with the emperor to get the elk thing's head. this partnership represents fascism/corporatism and the military industrial complex.

the material prosperity her system had created not only comfort and safety for her people, but pulled women out of prostitution and into marriage and gave dignity to the crippled.

the only issue I have with the movie is the way Ashitaka's curse spreads when he uses violence, regardless of whether it is defensive or aggressive. Ashitaka was 100% justified in killing the raiders near the beginning of the movie. That his curse spreads as a result implies the movie disapproves of defensive force. Pacifism sucks. Non-aggression is correct.

tldr: Princess Mononoke in this moment is euphoric.
