On Friday, The Fanatic grossed a mere $3,153 from 52 theaters scattered across the U.S. for a location average of roughly $60, according to those with access to grosses via Comscore. That means the movie may not earn more than $15,000 for the four-day holiday weekend. In a handful of theaters, it grossed $10 or less; the highest gross was $736 at the Arena Cinelounge in Hollywood.

Have you ever gone to see a movie in an empty theater room?

When I saw Kung Pow with my dad, the theater was empty.

why did scientology fail him?

probably found out he's a powerbottom who bullies uber drivers into letting him suck their dicks

But why does his career fall so hard?

too many gay scandals

I really like travolta as an actor but I dont understand why he picks so many shit roles

>it's just one of those days

>why did scientology fail him?
He failed scientology tho. Tom Cruise is always starring as the good guy, Travolta is playing drug addicts, villains and whatnot. Also in a lot of shit movies (Battlefield Earth included).

This is why Travolta kept the wig on all these years. It's powers must never be doubted again.

When I saw Blair Witch with a friend, there was no one else in the theater besides us. That's the only time I've been in an empty show. Even the ones I've seen on the last legs of the movie have had even a handful of people in.

Battlefield was a fully funded Scientology epic though. The writer was one, the star was one, the director was one and it was based on the masterpiece of the creator of Scientology.

Sure, but it still turned out to be shitty.

Indeed it did, but you can't fault Travolta from the collective failing of Scientology.

My point is he was the star in it (and also producer), so it's reasonable to get the most blame.

Can't remember what the audience was like for Blair Witch but I do know my ignorant friend thought the film was boring.

In Carrey's The Grinch the cinema was empty except for us though.

Oh yeah, I didn't remember he produced it as well. Wasn't it some sort of a passion project for him?

Travolta is:

Your friend wasn't wrong. I've hated found footage horror movies with a passion since seeing that piece of drivel

the best part is always how the camera shakes right when the ghost appears so they don't have to show more than a few seconds of it.

The 2010s equivalent of shooting a movie in one room because you have no budget and passing it off as artsy.

production company inflated the cost and made off with 30 mil too

Travoltas first line is something like "I gotta take a shit"

I saw the departed in an empty cinema, and skyscraper and the others

>faggot brackets

There's ingredients for a good movie right there. it is a shame Hollywood will never do that.

>Mallrats opening day
>Dead Presidents, opening weekend
>Cars 3, got head. Turns out theaters can see everything you do in the dark.

did you jerk each other off?
