I’m sorry but Nirvana will always be better than Alice In Chains. Both were incredible bands, but Nirvana released two perfect studio albums back to back. AiC never did that and even Dirt isn’t perfect overall (it’s near perfect though). But hey, I’m a dumb zoomer, so what do I know? ;)

It's the only band worth anything outside the 90s grunge scene because it had a sense of humor and wasn't afraid to show it's musical influence beyond just Black Sabbath.

You know, the worst part of the whole martyrization of Kurt Cobain is the fact that a lot of people, in a misguided attempt to have a more nuanced opinion about the guy, end up going too far in the opposite direction and dismiss the dude as an artist. Bullshit idolization aside he was just a fucking great, unique songwriter with an incredible voice, and a great ear for blending catchy pop melodies with the urgency and harshness of the underground. There's a reason everyone from Neil Young to Bob Dylan have gushed about him. Going "hur dur Nirvana overrated hur dur" just outs you as an edgy asshat.
