What are some stuff from the first four seasons of GOT you thought sucked?
>Cutting out most of the foreshadowing
>Watering down the importance of the Direwolves
>White Walker design, the Others are supposed to look simultaneously beautiful and unnerving, not decrepit old people
>Making Varys more of a good guy than Littlefinger, instead of both having equal shades of grey morality
>Horn of Winter is completely forgotten
What are some stuff from the first four seasons of GOT you thought sucked?
Battle of the Blackwater. I understand it was because of budget reasons, but I still think it's a shame. I also thought Mance was a bit underwhelming.
I should say I still thought Blackwater was good, just not as good as it could have been
Changing the mountain's actor every season. It you ever needed proof that they had no idea where they are going with the story, think about the fact that they treated him as a background character and didn't give a shit who played him. And then in the final seasons it turns out he's a major macguffin of the series
Didnt really matter if you turn into a zombie
This bitch ruined the whole point of Robb's marriage and tragedy of Red Wedding
Also Cersei's love for her children because D&D thought it would make her more interesting ruined her character entirely. Fuck them
everything involving Ramsey
>no Jaime fever dream
>no Bran coma dream
>all of Stannis’ best quotes from the book weren’t used
>No Jon defend the wall speech
Leaving out characters like Lady Stoneheart, Coldhands, Blackstar, Victarion, Belwas etc etc you get the idea.
>Still discussing lame of thrones
You should feel ashamed
>Horn of Winter is completely forgotten
Like in the books, you mean?
Cucking stannis
Tyrion getting whitewashed to not confuse the audience. He is so much better in the books
she is hot though
Great plot and character development > hot ass
Tyrone was black
how so? that in the show he married for "love" instead of a different type of honor (AKA knocking up some westerling slut and sticking with her)?
lol Mance spent so long dragging every fucking wilding all around the north just to say fuck it and climb over
In the books he wanted to save her honor and her name. SO he died because he wanted to do a right thing for someone else, because he was a good man like his father, even if it was stupid. In the show he just wanted to fuck her. See the difference? No honor and tragedy in that
I thought the Red Wedding was improved in the show. In the books, you'll realize it was only Robb who died in the wedding (not counting the army) while his wife and unborn son survived, Grey Wind escaped, and Catelyn gets resurrected but the shows kills all of them off
Correction: Grey Wind did in fact die in the books, don't know how I forgot about that
>wife and unborn son survived
Son was aborted (apparently, we aren't really sure), and wife had great scene with Jaime, so worth it.
>Grey wind escaped
He died, what are you talking about
>Catelyn gets resurrected
Yes, but she is just shell of herself, she is only thinking of revenge, so it's not the same. Plus she will be important for future (GRRM said he was most upset, that she didn't appear in the show)
>White Walker design, the Others are supposed to look simultaneously beautiful and unnerving, not decrepit old people
This, they should have been uncanny, alien, and creepy as fuck but they made them orcs because budget. Making them ugly also goes against GRRM's words on how being ugly doesn't necessarily make you evil or a monster
The first guy was perfect for the role. He had that brutal dangerous look and I’m pretty sure he was the tallest of the actors who played Gregor.
that's the best battle wtf... there was actually story going on during the battle, not just fighting
Book not being finished
this, fuck you fatman
woah, dont usually get a called reaction like that, but this pic hits them perfectly. the cgi for them even this way probably would have ruined it though.
>anyways
grrm is a hack and we're never getting any more books. the show was all his idea and it's been covered up for his sake. he thought every idea was good and him not writing the last books is his way of vengance on the fans who expect his fat ass to finish what he started. he's going to die when he thinks he's heaving a heart attack (just indigestion after stuffing his fat face) and he stumbles to his office to hit his 'burn the manuscripts' button, which burns down his house around him and everything with it.
They ended up so generic
>shirtless Ramsay
>cutting out Jeyne Poole
>Shirtless Ramsay
>Balon winning TWOTFK
>Shirtless Ramsay
>where tf did the second wave of Stannis' men come from in the Battle of the Blackwater?
>Shirtless Ramsay
>Dany's story in Qarth
>Shirtless Ramsay
>what happened to the Greatjon? Did they have too many old guys with beards with Karstark and Blackfish and think the audience would get confused?
>Shirtless Ramsay
We had everything we needed for a great show and it got ruined by a lazy author
The horn was one of the reasons the Night's Watch started taking Mance as a threat seriously, of course it was never used during the Battle of the Wall because the horn in Mance's possession was actually fake. Its implied the horn Sam found is the real one, the fact the books keep bringing it up once in awhile, the other fact that its literally on the cover of The Winds of Winter, and Sam bringing the horn with him to Oldtown makes it seem it is going to play an important role in the overall story
Sam finds a horn in the show but it gets forgotten later so it's probably nothing in the books
