Jean Bald Picard, baldtain of the baldship Baldterprise.
DAMN YOU
Poor Paddy went bald at 19.
GENERALS ARE CANCER
>patrick stewart
>not the greatest chad in human history
I balded down to a horseshoe from 23-30. It was fucking brutal. I used to shave it for a while, now I let what's left grow and embraced the Black Pill.
Is it any consolation knowing the reason you went bald is because you have high T?
Paul Rudd?
Is he the most Asian looking white guy?
>He could have played him in a biopic
If only he was still alive...
stay strong brah
He doesn't look Asian at all
His grandfather was Mongolian.
He looks like a Chad hapa.
"I've got a tribble in my fanny"
Well, if true, that would explain a lot.
Jesus. I'd let him fuck me and I am on the mostly hetero of the gay-straight spectrum. His deep, powerful voice, British accent, and those looks? He would make women pregnant just whispering in their ear.
That's not true at all.
The triumph of the echo over the voice
pretentious little shit
Rock it, trim it up, and keep it neat and own that shit.
Girls know about that T
You seriously don't get that reference? Clearly that's a picture they used when designing Tom Hardy in Star Trek Nemesis, young evil Picard, who says that to Picard to shine him on for being old and lame. I've earned my pretension, while you've proven your ignorance.
It's about how you come off to other people.
It is, I suppose. Though I rarely jerk off, even since being cut at 25; despite that, my nocturnal emissions are not very thick. I think my sex drive was Black Pilled as well, which is probably a good thing at this point.
I grew a beard a couple of years in to balding (inspired by Will Riker, of course) and found that it works much better than a babyface with a horseshoe. Having only shaved it off a few times I am now pretty sure it's for keeps now, due to the horseshoe. It's all or nothing and daily shaving is a pain and unnecessary, so I just leave it.
Thanks, brah.
Yes. I don't think about it much anymore. I had maybe a couple of years early warning, so I was able to prepare for it.
How do you figure?
What makes /trek/ the most beloved and stable general on Yea Forums? I wanna pick your collective brain.
>tfw balding becoming noticeable
it’s over for me lads
HONK HONK!
fren brigade is here with hugs and hot coco!
>I'm in charge now.
Why don't they salute in starfleet?
What's the deal with this little cunt? She's being used by the (((elite))) to push an agenda?
Because even though Gene based Starfleet on the Navy, he didn't like militarism.
She's getting a cameo on Discovery.

Did he do anything wrong
Man-made Climate Change narrative is starting to falter so they're trying to appeal to feels instead. We're seeing more evidence that changes in Earth's climate(and the entire Solar System) for that matter is driven largely by the Sun.
Because not every species has hands you bigot. Seriously though, I kind of like the Bruce Greenwood explanation that Starfleet is less a military and more if a peace-keeping organization.
Thanks fren
>Starfleet is less a military and more if a peace-keeping organization.
Except with photon torpedoes.
Sometimes keeping the peace requires a lot of firepower.
LET HE WHO WISHES PEACE PREPARE FOR____
Promoted twice as well! Impressive. Very nice.
Show me someone who actually likes STD that isn't some Twitter NPC or TrekBBS drone.
What are you talking about? Everybody here watches it.
I pirated the first two seasons and that was some of the worst shit I ever saw
I don't. Everything after 2001 is heresy. Fuck prequels and reboots.
What didn't you like about it?
>not liking the most woke Star Trek
Racist detected
I don't read posts. It would make little difference if I did.
for me, it's the horny malcornian nurse
This guy is just giving you a hard time user, nobody watched it after first season if they watched at all. Your opinion is valid it's not a very good show.
ewwww
Your insecure self loathing is nothing but funny to me. Do you enjoy the comedy of Fred Stoller?
You could do anything to her.
>bad characters
>it's not an ensemble, it's only about Mickey
>smug writing
>cringey dialogue that makes early TNG and ENT look like a masterpiece
>plots are aimless or are dropped out of nowhere which is a big deal when it's a serialized show
>it looks like JJ Abrams or Michael Bay is directing it
>stupid retcons that then get re-retconned
>the whole universe is always threatened for no reason
this is fren thread an no nasties pls
>My... alien...
Bebe was unironically hot. Ughn!
>t.
the spammer is back
He's a captain.
I started the thread and tried to keep it on topic, numbnuts.
eat shit.
it's so weird to see him with hair
flat
no u
Any other brilliant insights?
She's def not flat
Not true. It means you have follicles that react negatively to the presence of DMT, a testosterone byproduct. However, I balded super aggressively from 23 onwards when I picked up sports, which raises your T-levels. Can even grow moustache now and hair on my cheeks, where there was only neckbeard before. However, the hair on top is finished.
I wish she got those fake tits out.
post rares of milf troi
Goat any star trek related pepes? No apus pls.
M O A R
Her face has hit the wall in her 60s, but still dat waist to hip ratio. She never blew up like a balloon. I'd still fuck her, just to say I fucked her. Ughn!

Kino. Just as the TWoK uniforms and insignias were.
That'll be all.
It's amazing that no-one cares that Chakotay was actually only a Lt. Commander, going by his hollow stripe on his provisional rank insignia.
Different ranking system.
They even fucked up the ranks of Tuvok and Paris in the beginning, even though their higher ranks made sense.
elab
he borrowed someone else uniform obviously
I'll find you
The people I see who talk positively about STD are always shills, keyboard activists or people who aren't interested in watching actual Star Trek shows.
no true scotsman
Go talk to a STD shill on Twitter or on the official Trek Instagram account and ask them if they have watched the other shows, they will tell you "no because it looks blurry, cheesy and full of old people".
it's true though
>Man-made Climate Change narrative is starting to falter
That statement belies a willful ignorance akin to the one demonstrated by the people who cling to #Russiagate.
nice argument
anecdotal
>Calling people "NPCs" when you really mean "regular normal people"
you seem to be under the impression that we're trying to prove to you that only shills like STD
i dont see the need to provide arguments for that claim any more than i would to disprove some demented flat earther
>bajoran gf
>cardassian gf
>romulan gf
choose one
Tholian gf
betazoid gf
stop insisting upon yourself
Tuvok was third in command, so LTCDR made sense. Same with Paris as full LT, as he had some experience in Starfleet before he was forced out (unlike McNeill's Locarno, who was forced out as a Cadet).
Based.
I'd lean toward Bajoran, though Romulan would run it close.
burden of proof
I choose you.
no.
>mommy's dykey sister
>MOMMY
>mommy's weird friend who prefers just to watch

no.
You can go now.
i would shoot you with phasers and photon torpedoes if i wasn't face-first in troi-mommy rn
Iincel IV and step on it!
It just "didn't feel" like star trek to me.
>Man-made Climate Change narrative is starting to falter
It’s still real in their minds...

No you’re not, faggot.
All nine holes.
>stomps on gas pedal
look theres no point taking my foot off the gas, as evidence from these carefully-curated 'scientists' who just happen to agree with me (they disagree with consensus so they MUST be right) proves that smashing this shitty bronco into the wal-mart is both inevitable, and driven largely by ghosts from the shadow realm
look i don't care one way or the other, but stomping on the gas pedal makes the libs mad so who cares lol- (sickening metallic crunch)
>people on twitter, who represent less than 10% of any given real world electorate, are "regular normal people" and not a fringe groupthink cult.

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING ON HER HEAD?!
>bald cope

I prefer tripfag drama
i dont really give a shit
Just buzz your hair. Girls dig the Jason Statham look if the guy has the confidence to pull it off.
>When you realize even Patrick Stewart, the patron saint of baldies, looks better with hair
:(
I can still think of a few people who look better bald, though - Bruce Willis, Dwayne Johnson, and the musicians Bob Mould and Ian MacKaye. I guess the thing they have in common is really muscular upper bodies.
i'm smart!! i know how to use the parts of internet where you can say the hurtful n-word and nobody can stop you!! im immune to propaganda!! (scrolls through 100000000000 pepe/wojak images)
Those people all have a ton of charisma and passion. If a guy is a weird beta incel then being bald looks gross, it's all about a person's confidence. Similarly, having a full head of hair but they're skinny, lanky stuttering autists then they have no game. A chad with a receding hairline will always be more attractive than a beta with hair.
Physical appearance has little to do with a person's attractiveness. It is the confidence which makes a person desirable.
>using twitter for anything other than promoting your online businesses
>thinking what anyone posts actually matters
i don't understand what you're saying, or why you seem to think i care about twitter. its weird

Explain the noncom ranks
I can never understand O'Brien's rank
Please god no, nobody cares about O'Briens rank
thats a reasonable assumption i guess. i'm sorry i went on my 'this website is garbage for garbage people' thing again, which is really old news by now
What am I supposed to get out of Klingon episodes?
Why does /trek/ hate confidence?
hes full of shit anyway. My heads all lumpy and creepy looking shaved.
Twitter is only useful for directing people towards your patreon and building your brand.
I don't understand people who use it just to express themselves (no friends?) or who think they're participating in some important global discussion (delusional?)
Same goes for Yea Forums. Coming here for serious discussion, or thinking you're taking part in an important conversation, is laughably absurd. The internet is for shitposting.
It's pathetic when people live through their holodeck fantasies.
I don't remember this. What episode is this from?
lol you're fucked
he is average asian looking jew guy.
Post lumpy skull pics.

you really can't imagine people just ... existing on the internet, broadcasting their thoughts and talking about their day. is that really so alien to you, no pun intended.
What rank Picard?
he looks a little like richard gere in this picture.
some would call her a political shield heavily promoted by mainstream media to justify even greater taxation of europeans. iirc the first article about her school strike was published by several papers in the afternoon of the same day
you can watch this video subtitled to learn more
youtu.be
>using a platform that limits how many characters you can use to express yourself
Just use facebook if you want to blog post about your day. Social media is a tool, treating it as anything more than that is pathetic.
I have ragepost, sadpost, hornypost, musicpost, artpost, and trekpost accounts on various platforms which I rarely visit or maintain. Individually they are not an accurate depiction of my life or who I am as a person because they exist as therapeutic tools. Treating internet accounts like they're real people is insane, and maintaining accounts to record the flow of your life is ridiculous.
A lot of people get lost when they don't have a purpose for using social media and it becomes their reality.
>maintaining accounts to record the flow of your life is ridiculous
why?
Are you serious?
yes? i dont even like twitter, i'm just curious why you think these things.
Much like that little chinless faggot, David Hogg.
Bane?
MKULTRA likes it.
When you integrate a social media account into the experience of your life you're skewing those moments through the perspective of likes, shares, and retweets. You're seeking validation from strangers and it becomes an unhealthy cycle.
I'm not saying it's wrong to use social media, I have 13,000 followers on twitter and 40,000 on instagram and even basic "I'm hungry" posts will hit over 500 likes, but none of that is real. Those accounts exist to direct people towards patreon, to create a portfolio for clients, and to build a following which affords me leverage in contract negotiations.
They aren't my friends, they're just numbers. Most people lose that perspective and feel depressed when a post they poured their heart into doesn't get any attention. It's all about knowing what you want from social media.
On my smaller shitpost accounts I just goof around. Posting to social media is fine, it's the expectation that your voice matters which can become unhealthy.
Are you a cute girl?
What's the deal with /trek/?
he's chief
It's filled with cunts who go off-topic and/or troll.
blatant
Why would you come here just to be off topic?
How I'd love to see them hate-fuck. Ughn!
>you're skewing those moments through the perspective of likes, shares, and retweets
not necessarily. just as how i'm sure you aren't necessarily skewing each and every single one of your Yea Forums posts through a 'will this receive '>You's' lens, either
that person posts on Social Media, therefore that person *must* be thirsty for 1000000 likes and 10000000000000 retweets and shares and upvotes and whatever, like, no, not necessarily. people just exist sometimes y'know
Should I give Discovery a second chance? When I watch something my main concern is character writing, and I watch Trek more for philisophy than science. I dropped Discovery 15 minutes into the first episode and I don't remember anything about it. Is Season 2 good?
Is Tom Paris based?
Sir i'm detecting 3 WKnight vessels orbiting the planet Roast-E.

If a person wasn't seeking validation and approval then they would write in a journal.
I'm well aware some people have accounts just for shitposting but by using social media, or posting on Yea Forums, a person is sharing their opinion and on some level hoping to be noticed.
I'm saying if you're going to use social media at least turn it into a way to make money. Sharing pictures of your friends and family and vacations on a platform which generates billions off ad revenue and the private information of its users is pathetic. Maintaining an account just to talk about what you eat is pathetic.
Looks pretty good here actually
I'll keep watching DISC because at east 10 guys here watch it and use it to generate content.
Ideally you want a nice blend of both.
Fuck off annoying gap toothed cunt. You don't contribute anything and derail threads with your attention whoring.
You must be hell at parties.
You just want to cuddle with Carl.
>they would write in a journal
>a person is sharing their opinion and on some level hoping to be noticed
>Sharing pictures of your friends and family and vacations [.] is pathetic
>Maintaining an account just to talk about what you eat is pathetic
i think the issue is you just don't like social media, and think people are foolish for using it. which is valid, but fails to consider *why* people would use it in the first place.
BOB: im eating some cereal, maybe i'll go for a bike ride later (send tweet)
user: that motherfucker Bob just wants people to like his posts reeeeeeeeeee
All people need attention, like flowers in a garden.
>i think the issue is you just don't like social media
My Q is Y tho?
pardon
You're still confusing social media with real life. I've said my opinions on the matter and we're just going to keep going in circles.
It's cool if you have fun posting about cereal, I just don't understand why anyone would spend years doing that with no purpose. To each their own.
why? why he hate social media?
Is talking to yourself regularly a form of validation?
Is trying to ebully Shatner off the site a form of validation?
>I'm saying if you're going to use social media at least turn it into a way to make money
well all social media companies are inherently evil, but screaming at people for using them while existing within capitalism seems like, well, screaming at the wrong people
yes
he just seems bitter
I don't hate social media, it makes me a shit ton of money. I don't understand using social media to record the times you ate cereal unless you're somehow making money.
I have shitpost accounts which aren't part of my spider's web but I only post with them once or twice a month, not five times a day. I get it, some people just want to have fun and that's cool, but after a point it becomes unhealthy pouring that much time into posting about cereal.
ds9>ent
>I don't hate social media, it makes me a shit ton of money.
wat u do?
Never happened. Its Fiction.
Is the pursuit of money the most hollow pursuit there is?
I'm a cute e-girl with several sponsorship deals with cereal companies. I fill up my tub with milk and pour in bags of their pebbles and fruit loops shit then sell bottled soggies to incels. Made a million dollars so far this month.
Can you give me some tips for writing weight gain? It's not my fetish, but my writing partner is pushing our story in that direction.
Don't worry, I'm no Ferengi. I do it for free.

Yeah they're amazing just don't get any stuck in your pussy because it really burns
I almost broke down in tears. It's all so fucking tedious. It's just so tiresome.
not trek
meanieposting is nono
LOOK IT'S BASH!
Being a meanie is canonically yum-yum.
Basic writing shit like show don't tell and show things through the senses other than sight. Taste and smell are often underused in writing and leave a strong impact on the reader. Touch is also going to be your friend here. How soft and heavy they feel and how your fingers sink into that softness when you touch them etc
TI-LII

>HE WAS A COUNSEL OF ROME

>Seriously though, I kind of like the Bruce Greenwood explanation that Starfleet is less a military and more if a peace-keeping organization.
This is bullshit though. Starfleet is effectively the Federation. The Federation Council is ruled by spineless weak willed leaders with little real power.
I can tell.
>Starfleet is effectively the Federation.
O'Brien's rank continuity is bad. The shows never do much about the enlisted, there's what, one dude who shows up as a Crewman in the Drumhead that we never see again?
Sorry I don't buy designer trash bags and kitty litter, I just bought a new mansion in the hills and my Ferrari has been giving me problems
TrekBBS is so fucking tedious, they will do anything to pretend Disco is the greatest shit known to fucking man and all other Trek sucks in comparison, then the Disco fanboys spam their retardation on other boards on the forum and when you tell them to finally fuck off the mods suspend you.
I honestly don't get why they dicksuck the show so much, Disco at best is extremely mediocre and a complete mess in terms of writing let alone any sort of Trek credentials.
he didn't get to fuck the voyager helmswoman before she died, so no.
sexy mutha
Hamlet is the most basic bitch shit ever.
post your asshole with visible ballsack or fuck off
"Shakespeare? Fuck yeah!" - Star Trek
you're annoying when you try to sound smart
>wanting to see a tripfag's asshole
ghey
>internet thots lurk /trek/
How many timeless classics have you written?
Hamlet is special, but liking Hamlet doesn't make (You) special.
Calling Hamlet "basic bitch shit" doesn't make someone special either, or intelligent. It is irrefutably a classic of Western literature.
Hamlet is non-basic, but liking Hamlet is basic. You don't become non-basic until you read and like the works that aren't covered by high school English class.
It's not even his best tragedy. I like Macbeth and King Lear better. My favorite play by him is The Tempest.
The opinion of someone who defines art as basic or non-basic is irrelevant and unintelligent. Hamlet is a classic and if you can't appreciate that fact you're just being an intellectual poser.
When will Star Trek have the balls to refrence actual literary genius instead of some basic shit we all read in high school?
>why doesn't Picard mention Evangelion or Yu-Gi-Oh?
I'm not here to define art. I'm here to define art appreciation.
Liking Hamlet is a neutral act, neither positive nor negative. You don't gain any points by liking Hamlet. You shouldn't write a scene where Star Trek Character #1 says "Hamlet reference" and then Star Trek Character #2 says "Hamlet reference? HELL YEAH!", because there's nothing noteworthy or sceneworthy about liking Hamlet.
If you disagree with me then you can go watch STD.
Picard is more into Dirty Pair and Urusei Yatsura.
Why are you getting triggered by two lines of dialogue in a series which regularly references the works of Shakespeare?
Shakespeare references were previously done with a little more taste and subtlety. They weren't patting themselves on the back and jerking themselves off like they are now.
Nobody responded "Hell yeah" to a Shakespeare reference in old Trek.
The scene in question involves Spock mentioning a line from Hamlet which parallels the events of the series. It's meant to be a cute, disposable nod before Burnham beams out. It would have been more bizarre for Burnham to quote Hamlet back to Spock while they're in the middle of a crisis situation.
Did you also pull your hair out whenever Picard would quote Shakespeare out of context to Q and they didn't spend the rest of the scene debating which of the Bard's works were basic?
Not really. Any Shakespeare reference is forced, you just accept Picard's because you love TNG.
Might be Worst Case Scenario.
>because you love TNG
Of course, who doesn't?
It's a wig, he's always been bald.
Everyone loves TNG, that's why no one flips out over the forced Shakespeare quotes.
Why would Q care about Shakespeare? Why would he accept Picard regurgitating a couple lines from a play as a response as if that's any sort of definitive statement?
Within the context of the scene in STD, the Shakespeare reference is just as fluid and rigid as all of Trek's other Shakespeare references.
Just because you're still assravaged that high school occasionally forced you to read something doesn't mean that Hamlet isn't great and that liking Hamlet doesn't make you better than people who either a. don't like Hamlet or b. get massively triggered about people liking Hamlet.
I accept Picard because P Stew performed in over 60 productions with The Royal Shakespeare Company and has a deep appreciation and understanding for the bard and the context in which he quotes him.
>thinking that you're better than someone else just because you like Hamlet
Yikes.
>implying this nigga didn't write Hamlet
That doesn't make any sense.
The discussion is about the validity of Shakespeare quotes within the context of the scenes in which they are presented. Most actors have backgrounds in performing Shakespeare and that doesn't affect what's happening in a given scene from Star Trek.
>character references Shakespeare
>characters acknowledge quote
Is it the "Hell yeah" that has you butthurt? How is that any different from characters nodding and smiling when Picard quotes Shakespeare?
Have you actually read Marlowe? Faustus is amateur hour compared to Hamlet. Marlowe has no complexity beyond the initial concepts he presents. Shakespeare had layers of interpretation. You don't know what you're talking about.
I know Marlowe ate Queen Elizabeth's pussy and then got stabbed in a bar and died.
>Devil trying to get Faust to sell him his soul
>gives him super powers and resurrects Helen of Troy to be his fuckbride
I'd need at least Ro and Selar or no deal
I remember him saying when he started to bald, he freaked out since it would affect his acting career. They explained that it's actually fine since he can just easily wear wigs on stage. Being bald actually gives him more flexibility.
I remember seeing an interview where he said a friend ripped his mop off and told him it looked silly and that's when Picard decided he was just gonna do bald.
To quoth the Lion King, "When the world turns its back on you, turn your back on the world."
He started balding at 18. What a beta lol
>Is it the "Hell yeah" that has you butthurt? How is that any different from characters nodding and smiling when Picard quotes Shakespeare?
Think about it.
It's weird that they love STD and the JJ-Trek movies but hate Beyond.
>I honestly don't get why they dicksuck the show so much
Just like those alleged TOS fans who "love" STD, I think they care more about the brand than the content.
"bad Star Trek is better than no Star Trek at all" is the usual argument in favor of STD.
>moving backwards from the 1701-D to the 1701, and then to the NX-01
Very fitting. Star Trek has been about moving backwards, not forwards, ever since Enterprise. That's why we had Enterprise, that's why we had JJ, that's why we have STD.
Hi Vee. I love you
>DMT
I think you meant DHT
>She's being used by the (((elite))) to push an agenda?
If you have to ask you are too stupid to get it anyways. This whole shit was jsut a front to overplay the free trade agreement between the EU and Brasillia which there were no news whatsoever in any nwes, because its all about her.
I don't mind bald guys as long as they aren't pale introverts
Picard has a deep, confident voice so he's sexy with his bald little head
I fucking hate copebeards tho

Season 2 was somehow worse than Season 1. Kike and Spork didn't help it at all. The tone also went from groomy moody edgefest to quippy capeshit "yaz kween".

Maybe someday when we have hologram technology
>my main concern is character writing
>Is Season 2 good?
No, it's worse, somehow. They've added quips and more unfunny moments that are supposed to be funny.
>I watch Trek more for philisophy than science
There's no science or philosophy in STD.
The funny thing is they absolutely trashed ENT during 2001-2005, and not only was it expected, it was also encouraged.
Yet STD is exempt from all criticism in every board - not just the STD circlejerk board, but even if you go "wow that episode of STD sure was stupid" in the TNG forum or something, a mod comes in and wags his finger at you.
Tranny doesn't mean transexual. What's your biological gender?
ENT deserved better.
>working my way through Voyager for the first time
>watch Pathfinder
>"what a great episode, great ending"
>onto the next episode
>Fair Haven
>it's a gay holodeck story episode
In Voyager's defense, OF COURSE you follow a Barclay episode with a holodeck episode.
The Barclay episode WAS a holodeck episode as well, done properly. Whoever was making these decisions was a fucking moron.
Morons, plural.
Daily reminder that Brannon Braga was having daily sex with prime Jeri Ryan, and you weren't.

Both BF and VF are here?
They weren't even involved by season 6, it was mostly Joe Menosky and Kenneth Biller
I hate you so much.
make new thread fags
Brannon Braga was still the showrunner in season 6. Kenneth Biller didn't take over until season 7.
I'll try
Fascinating.
"There is no try. Only do." - Star Trek
Let's take a break
Finally someone has the courage to say what we're all thinking.
Either way, both season 6 and 7 felt very tired and had hardly any kinos.
Voyager peaked with seasons 4 and 5.
bump limit reached, dude
Star Trek. Hell yeah.
B-but i still have more things to say :(:(:(
I only reply to active threads.
I was slamming through season 4 and 5, got onto 6 and I've slowed way down. Pathfinder got my optimism back but then this holodeck bullshit has put me off once more.
Answer the question.
Yes that is not particularly a controversial opinion
