So Carnival Row is kino then?

Orlando and Cara are absolutely terrible.

I saw a trailer on amazon last night and was sadly reminded cara delevigne exists

It's beautiful!

I stopped it after they did the evil racist whites thing 12 minutes into the first episode. I was really looking forward to a show about a Victorian fantasy world. But of course, I forgot that tv shows these days are just a delivery method to tell me that my race is uniquely evil. It's all so tiresome.

Is it really worth watching just for Jared Harris though?

same here.
>two evil white cops harass a poor black girl
>throw a pig's head on the ground ("see? police are literally pigs")
>also while harassing the black girl mention that her father is a doctor
kek. into the trash it goes.

I wish I could pay less for prime and just get free shipping. Their streaming service is a shitfest and their originals, minus Patriot, are abysmal.

Fpbp

Its pretty bad.

I liked Forever and The Boys

A lot of black people go into medicine

>"Is this show good?"
>All answers are about politics

The acting is awful, the story is dull, the costumes and set pieces are cool - 4/10

>ignoring the very first post

You sound like a bitch, are you a bitch?

I'd say it's mostly kino (Cara's not a good actress), but Yea Forums won't like it.

Bump

I'll watch the first episode, just for Jared.

It's like Bright, but for Victorian England, and FUCK DRUMPF

Can anybody explain the Cara thing? I keep seeing people say she's a bad actress, but I haven't noticed anything weird in the first two episodes.

I like Cara. She's not amazing, but she's fun.

His wife is evil incarnate.

As it's impossible for one to have On Demand, Netflix, AND Amazon Prime all at once, for no mortal being has that kind of power, tell me about this show anons, mainly about the monster going around killing people, what does it look like, does it have a name? Looks Lovecraftian from what little ya could see from the promos and such, which i dig.

>jared harris
Alright you've got me interested, boss, tell me more.

Explain.

Jarred Harris is like walking +2 star for movies. like a video game powerup

So is this basically Penny Dreadful with without Eva Green's tits?

Tamzin Merchant gets completely naked.

Bump.

I like Orlando Bloom, and I like Jared Harris. Will I like it? It seems like a poor man's Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell.

It's set about 70 years after Strange and Norrell, but that's a good call. The series of Strange and Norrell wasn't nearly as good as it could have been, but the cast for it was aces.

Watch and find out.

May check it out.

There were so many amazing moments of the Strange and Norrell series...I'm so bummed about the ending being trash.

It's Napoleon fantasy kino.

A gator.

Man, that book has been on my backlog for years.
I'm glad I watched this webm and it prevented me from reading such shit.

The Napoleonic stuff was cool, as the clip shows. The main plot wasn't really concerned with that, though.

The book is a masterpiece. The show was sometimes good, but never nearly as good.

I liked it.

That tells you something. The "politics" of the show is the only thing worth discussing.

Looks nothing like one that's for sure, especially the fact that it has tentacles, so a screenshot and/or detailed description of the beastie is appreciated.

I love her.

The werewolves were a good highlight from this show, haven't seen a decent werewolf since Grimm and that order game, although desu i think they should've been hairier.

They were oddly hairless werent they

I've only watched episodes 1 and 8, and it looks like a slightly larger than human sized thing with an octopus head and a horse mouth.

Yup! To see if the rest was worth watching.

But... that's the whole season, user.

I didn't watch the middle episodes yet.

You're special user, I'll give you that.

The politics are pretty annoying. That being said, it has a killer cast and nice look, and I'm a sucker for this kind of worldbuilding.

That would be correct.

Not the only thing, but sadly they are shoved in your face a lot. The corset thing was all kinds of bricks.
