I did a 360 and left the movie

No.

/thread

Its the best trilogy of all time

Yes. First one was ok, second one gets praise only because of the Heath Ledger, third one is a meme

Yes.
This.
Cringe. Watch more films.

The best part of the second movie is unironically Harvey Dent.

The only people who think this are zoomers and redditors that only watches le self aware ironic MCU capeshit where nothing is ever serious.

Redditors love Nolan's films and this trilogy in particular you fucking retard.

Not the whole trilogy. However, Begins is miles better than the Dark Knight

Yes. I can't think of a single film by Nolan post Batman Begins that isn't horrifically overrated by plebs

Little bit, but its great

Why is Batman the only one that 'just werks'?

yes

Not it was just rated

Compared to the MCU and nu DC they look like Citizen Kane

Just because you watch gay little indie foreign flicks that no one has ever heard of doesn't mean you are smart or have good taste in film. You use obscurity to try to mask the fact you are an idiot and have no idea what you are talking about.

based

that doesn't make them great though. it just means mcu films are shit

Every Nolan movies is overrated

Agreed and correctpilled

Yes but only to the extent that film itself, as a medium, is overrated.

Nolan is not a good director that's pretty much a fact. If you claim that this is the best trilogy ever, you are in fact retarded and should watch more films.

Lol no.
No one gives a shit about Origins and Rises is memed to hell.

The joker’s plan was absolutely retarded and you cannot argue against this

Shit, the first most is so forgettable that I forgot that it's called Batman Begins, and that Origins is the game.

That's because the Joker didn't operate on a master plan basis, which only the League of Shadows (Smee and Fire Brother) does.

Yes

No.
Keep seething, mcucuck.

It makes perfect sense, in a world where nothing makes sense.

TDK is easily one of the top ten films of this decade. The other two were okay.

Redditors unironically love everything
Does he really look like a guy with a plan?

Imagine paying to Yea Forums just so you could write shit like this

Begins is underrated
Dark Knight is rated fine
Rises is overrated

Pretty much this.

>Nolan is not a good director that's pretty much a fact
Mind explaining how? Legitimately curious

>Dark Knight is rated fine
overrated because the druggie overdosed

?

without the zimmer soundtrack, you realise nolan is a subpar director

No.

Next question.

Yes!

true.

Yes, sure. He is also a bad writer who writes terrible dialogue. But as far as directing goes, he does one or two takes and you can see that in most of his films. The biggest problem for him is the action, i'm sure that someone will post some clips from his films but he is terrible at directing action scenes. Also for example in TDK the editing in action scenes is absolutely horrific. So he can't direct action which is a very important part of his films. He is also overreliant on music and dialogue, every little thing is explained, the constant exposition spouting from the characters is incredibly annoying. Music he uses as a crutch because he can't create genuine tension without it, just through the power of image. See Dunkirk. Just stop with the ticking you fucking hack, the film should be tense without the constant ticking. He is not a good visual storyteller that's why he uses these crutches. Blatant exposition spouting characters and constant muh tense music.

They are not only overrated but objectively bad movies

>Checked dubs don’t lie.
Pinky toe not raised, absolute plebiscite opinion disregarded.

It stumbled especially on the third one, but they were clearly better films than most DC comic fans deserved. I take a great pleasure in the disaster the new franchise has become. All your garbage takes about Bales performance or fight choreography don't mean shit in the face of the massive trainwreck these movies have become since they started trying to cater to you idiots.

>tfw no quips

>implying that someone who thinks about technical side of filmmaking watches capeshit

They all look like straight to tv movies.

i mean, the warehouse fight in bvs was better than anything in the nolan films. agreed otherwise

it's ok I guess, my gf got shot at the premiere so there is that

agree

Sort of. Unfortunately, despite its flaws, it's also the only capeshit to date that's been filmed competently.

Based and accurate-pilled

The third one was a shot in the dark, but I left the theatre feeling really holey. All my friends agreed that it was to die for. After the crowd died down, we all got to meet Heath Ledger.

Man Of Steel
Guardians of the Galaxy
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Iron Man
And, of course, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice
All of these films are leagues better than Nolan's trash

"No!"

>disaster the new franchise has become
They are about as good as the marvel ones, arguably better on average, and they make a ton of money how are they a disaster again?

Why did Batman kill that guy?

Made me check, you bastard. You got me good.

why did they put a cop in the interrogation room to watch joker when you could have watched joker through the glass?

Because Nolan couldn't figure out another way to advance the plot and make the jokester seem clever

he could’ve just talked to the cop from behind the glass and lured him in!

Its one of my favorite movies due to nostalgia and me having a cringy Heath Joker obsession. But I think the trilogy has many flaws, and none of them are perfect, but I love them for some reason.

do they make a lot of money? i thought aquachad was the only successful one

>Doc, I'm not feelin so swell!
they did that with the fat guy

Nolan’s Batman movies were overrated but at least a couple of the movies can stand on their own merit. I just wish the same could be said for the dullest franchise in the history of movie franchises. Seriously each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the series’ only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.

Perhaps the die was cast when Rowling vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody?just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Harry Potter series might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.

>a-at least the books were good though

"No!" The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."

I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.

The Dark Knight has great music, fights, acting, plot twists, and is pretty much the first grounded superhero film. Also, at least top 10 films of all time.

Good one.

Just the sense of contrast between a leading Chinese city and a major American one is striking.

First one was boring.
Second one was kino.
Third one was shit.

Based as fuck

It had the best Joker, best Scarecrow, almost best TwoFace...but there's only so many exposition scenes you can make to cover up that you have a shitty script. Bane could have been much much better if the script for that last film didn't ruin him entirely in the end.
So there were a lot of good ideas, but Nolan partially ruined his trilogy by trying to make it anything else than super hero films.

>pristine white gloves

Weren't the cops stuck in the sewer for months?
