Not really. You get the sense that it's been hobbled together and won't have any kind of interesting quality to it beyond what you glean from the interactions in the trailer. Not that you can expect much more than that from a Terminator sequel.

The problem is it just doesn't look good and seems to be rehashing yet again. "Passing the baton" to the new young mexican sarah connor and augmented dyke is a terrible idea. Having a new "even more badass" terminator is a terrible idea, and the guy is miscast.
They thought they could sell this movie on the fact that sarah connor is back, but the average cinema goer doesn't give a fuck.

It was a braindead move on their part. The way to play into some intended kind of female underdog situation would be to make the evil terminator some ripped 6'5" dude more threatening than Arnie ever was. Play into the theme of the 80s original. It wouldn't have helped overcome the stupid premise of the movie but it's at least one thing they could've easily done right.
