What’s the verdict on season 2?

A mixed bag, the same as s1. But it’s got that Fincher polish so I enjoyed it.

Its alright. The completely irrelevant lesbian subplot brings it down a score, and them focusing on just one largely inconsequential case was a bit of a let down. But otherwise it was worth the watch.

Shit

I’m sure you can spare more words than that, tommy. Do you want to explain why you feel that way?

>completely irrelevant lesbian subplot

Is this a joke or is it actually a part of the show?

I wish it was a joke. Theres at least 6 episodes with scenes that have us following the scowling female consultant as she dates some laidback bartender woman. Its not even fapworthy.

She doesnt learn anything about serial killers from it. It doesnt impact her work beyond us knowing she's a closet lesbian and has to hide the fact. Her life doesnt change from it. Its just there in the show, and its not like they didnt fill their diversity quota from the focus on black victims.

meh/10. Season 1 was not a masterpiece, but at least serial killers were interesting.

It's a subplot and leads them into interviewing Dean Corrll's (gay serial killer) sidekick about his relationship with him. They also interview the gay serial killrr guy who appeared in the Exorcist.

Last three episodes are as good as anything in season 1, but there's way too much subplot action. Like take Holden and his girlfriend from last season and multiply the screen time by four.

>AINT NO BROTHA KILLIN OUR BAYBEES

fucking netflix dont even need to see it to know its wack

Good but not as good as S1.
Wendy's parts were mostly useless. Wanted to see more of Smith after he shit the bed and how he improved. Holden's panic attacks were just forgotten about. Tench's kid plot felt kind of spotty as well.
All the interviews and serial killer stuff is great, it really pulls you in, but there's not enough of it. At least there's planned 5 seasons.

Yeah, the interviews and stuff with BTK are the best. The rest is just refill coffee and go to restroom time.

It has the Fincher halo effect. Oh, Fincher made it? No, he directed like 6 episodes out of 19, written by no-names whose biggest achievement is writing for Spartacus. It's a boring show with some good episodes. All they do is talk, and when something happens, they barely react

>Well yes, I do think KKK did the Atlanta child killings. Police covered it up to dodge violent protests

I actually fast forwarded every single time I saw those two on screen together and did not miss a single thing. There was no change in the plot or Wendy's character AT ALL. It is as if dyke 2 doesn't even exist.

Anyone really put off by that awkward scene where Holden is running through the neighborhood with a cross, trying to beat the march? The music and filter they put over certain shots was super cringe and they’ve never done anything like that before. One of the worst executed scenes in the series imo

Also each of the scenes are like 10 minutes long. In season 1, you would have the crime, the interviews, the solving, and then all the boring filler about their personal lives at the end. Now the boring filler trash about their lives is the main focus of the show.

The one where they want to go to the cinema, but they're late for the cinema because they're parking the car, and then decide to not go to the cinema, and then go home and have a long boring conversation about feelings, that shit takes up about a quarter of the episode. It's so boring and pointless. The worst part is that the interview with Corll is rushed, and there's no real conclusion to it. They cut the plot out so they could have more long shots of whistful lesbian gazes.

Ironically the lesbian keeps complaining to Holden about how they should be taking the interviews more seriously.

Heard they got rid of the guy who played Kemper except for a few scenes this season. He was the highlight of last reason. A shame they didn’t continue his storyline of continuing to help Ford catch serial killers instead choosing to do a thebestserialkillerimpersonator a week format.

>focus on black victims

Hahaha imagine actually watching this stupid shit

better than season 1, avoids some of the more overt tv trappings that were apparent in season 1

Nah, variety is nice

It was weird. I thought I missed some important dialogue because it was played so huge, and it didn't really amount to anything. Maybe it was supposed to represent something about Holden's panic attacks (cause they forgot they were a thing) but it didn't work for me.

S H I T

The lesbian storyline was fucking dumb. Otherwise, good shit. Seriously, save yourself some time and cringe and skip over the Wendy Carr lesbian moments. It adds absolutely nothing to the storyline or to character development.

Why is Holden sometimes a total autistic spaz and other times totally normal?

They're setting him up to be a serial killer.

But...but that was season 1 too.

boring

I liked it. The lesbian shit was dumb and I took the opportunities to play on my phone or go to the bathroom.

But...but that was season 1 too.

season 1 was also a 6/10 show at most, idk why some of you didn't pick up on that sooner, it too had forced homos and christians bad

I enjoyed it, but there wasn't enough interviews and the Atlanta child slaying case takes up the majority of the second half and ends very abruptly and anti-climatically.

Also, the Lesbian relationship drama was boring and didn't play into anything.

Kind of like how the actual case ended
