James Bond is one of the most feminine creations in any narrative medium, let alone just literature (though especially in literature). Like most feminine protagonists, like any YA novel protagonist, he doesn't earn or work towards anything. He simply has things. They're there, with no intent on explaining how they're earned, or the complications of having earned them, or challenging himself to maintain his right to earn them. He gets some more things later, but it's either an unearned item or achievement, or an arbitrarily worked-for item or achievement. His overall qualities are built around being pretty and convincing the opposite sex he is attractive, via these things he simply has for no truly earned or challenged reason. He rarely bears flaws - and if he does they're minimal and often-times irrelevant, for like most female-created characters, characters are not challenged nor do they work towards any goals or items or achievements, they merely have them or obtain them with no true sense of effort derived.
Ian Fleming's prose is excellent, and he can produce interesting characters, but Bond is not only not one of them, he is almost out of place in his mediocre feminine existence compared to the far more engaging and masculinely-designed antagonists and deuteragonists.

The only "people" who actually thinks the core existence of James Bond is anything but this shameful label are smooth-brained hylics who either refuse to think critically about their literary icons or simply lack the mental capacity to do so, and the only other ones in denial are the pathetic pseudohumans who bear a feminine brain in a masculine body, pushing them towards embracing these feminine ideals instead of masculine ones. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a great shounen series by a female author and Kimetsu no Yaiba, also created by a woman, is one of the best series airing right now.
The manga/anime industry in Japan operates in a different way than entertainment industry in America though. Those women I mentioned got to where they are purely on merit.
