Oh potatoes and molasses

oh potatoes and molasses
you are going to watch it this fall, right Yea Forums?

Attached: maxresdefault (3).jpg (1280x720, 48K)

>implying this isn't the Snowman of Halloween
damn comfy shit

my gf hasn't seen it yet. so yes I will

>cartoon
no, I'm not 10 anymore

I watch this with my gf at least three times a year, very comfy

They're making new episodes?

I do unironically watch it with my gf around Halloween each year. It's really great.

Come to think of it, I don't think I ever finished it.

Yes.

When did Yea Forums start getting girlfriends?

about 3-4 years ago
this place is overrun by normalfags

When the trannies started to pass more

But your gay. Your anushole will soon be singing a new tune (diarrhea will soon be shooting out of your shit gullet after I'm done expanding it with my cock a doodle do)

this, its a rock fact

just take the portion of browsers who reply to incel bait posts, the inverse of that is the population of Yea Forums that has girlfriends

I really don't understand why people like this. The characters were grating and unlikeable, the 'spooky atmosphere' was completely defanged and stuffed to the gills with harmless whimsy and the art style was noodly CalArts tier. Also the ending was shit. The whole thing was so immensely tryhard 'cult'.

What is it

t. jaded

Have sex

No I just expect better.

Have children.

No, you are jaded, I promise you.

Because I didn't fall for the faux-whimsy and faux-nostalgia bait? Because I expect and hope for things to not be slathered in irony?

Creepy, Foreboding, Mystery, The great outdoors, An adventure.
Supposedly CN neutered it and they were never supposed to leave the Unknown

Yeah you're just a contrarian shitbag. Its incredibly endearing, the art isnt great, but its good. And the stories are easy to get lost in, even if its only 15 minutes at a time.

hmmmm

>The whole thing was so immensely tryhard 'cult'.
Wrong

What's the show faggots

>Because I expect and hope for things to not be slathered in irony?
wtf are you even talking about? Retard.

Over the Garden Wall, it's a short series, you can watch it on Netflix or pirate it.

Over the Garden Wall

Based thanks

What, are they making more of them?

Lame. Story was good and had a nice ending. No need to revisit it.

OP here. Should have said rewatch. They aren't making more.

They're not making more, the guy who made this actually respects his own work, not like La casa de papel or 13 reasons why

Rule 34 Greg over_the_garden_wall

No, I’m going to watch this kino instead

>OP here. Should have said rewatch. They aren't making more.
Oh, that's nice then.

>Creepy, Foreboding
It tries way too hard to evoke a folktale/storybook feel but the modern dialogue and naming conventions throw it off. Auntie Whispers sounds like it was dredged up out of a creepypasta article.
>CN neutered it
So I have to ask, what exactly then was the demographic for this? Couldn't have been kids. But the art style heavily suggests otherwise.

Sorry I hurt your feelings, I just expect sincerity in the media I consume. This show wasn't sincere. It was a carefully crafted product, not a vision.

It kinda was. Everything about it screams 'oooh just like the childhood you didn't have, spooky adventures but mature and melancholy', really trying to appeal to the early-mid 20s crowd who'll meme the shit out of it.

Why are you seething so hard? I prefer sincerity in my media.

No because I first watched it with my ex girlfriend and we both really loved it and I’m still not entirely over her and watching it just makes me think of her

Say what it is you fucking nigger that looks good

Gay

>its not sincere cause i say so
>folklore names should be spoopy and cool like in my sci fi books
Maybe you should just educate yourself. Most names from folklore are not incredibly creative. The show is very sincere, i dont even know what irony you are bitching about

yeah bro really a carefully crafted product, that's why it only aired once, has virtually no merch even after high demand. tried to get real talent for voice acting, music, with a small team.
After high demand for more only made comics almost noone knows about.
Capitalist pigs
oh also, have sex

>I prefer sincerity in my media.
What was insincere about it?

Totsukuni no Shoujo

lmao nerd

I bought one of the comics and it was nothing but the axe man's daughter lusting after BBC

If it had ‘cult’ in my mind then why it didn't get any more seasons like gravity falls and Rick and morty? It’s a very concise and simple story. I doubt many people even know about it’s existence desu

I think they're made by different people, not sure though haven't read them. Story was fine the way the show ended it.

In which Issue does Wirt fug the Black chick?

I will give it a rewatch this fall.

>reading comprhension
The feel it wants to evoke clashes with everything else, you sad little sperg.

Stay seething, you sound like an upset shill. They air it once and it garners its cult attention and nothing else What a success, surely indicative of quality.
>next he'll say something about subjectivity

Read my post. It was a crafted product and not a vision. Designed from the ground up to appeal to emotions on a very surface level with no particular depth or rewatchability. It's child's distracting pretty colours for millennials.

Haven't read, jungle fever is very based though

t. seething

Perhaps because it really wasn't very good with no potential for expansion.

>next he'll say something about subjectivity
Man i'd give you reddit gold if I could for that witty comment haha!
Also, epic formatting waste away some more in your room while us garden wall chads rewatch it with our gfs

No, it doesnt. You have no real critiques but superficial ones rooted in nothing, air.

>no potential for expansion
Since when is telling a story and ending it a bad thing?

You fucking bet

I feel you

>So I have to ask, what exactly then was the demographic for this? Couldn't have been kids. But the art style heavily suggests otherwise.
>things that don't make kids feel good about themselves and happy 100% of the time cannot be for kids

you need to go back

Why was Infinity Train such shit even though it had the same structure as OtGW?
What went so wrong?

Attached: 1565734260029.jpg (900x506, 75K)

Who hurt you user? Why do you push people away?

soulless americana enjoyed only by low t incels, w*men and other subhumans

Battle Space looks fun

I'll watch this and Halloween Tree for sure. May rewatch the new Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark movie, because it had the most amazing autumn vibe I've ever seen.

>molasses
they better come with some slaves and cotton, boy. My gold and guineas aren't free

It was too passive-agressive

oooh big boy

I always do

this. people don't see what obvious emmy bait it is. I wouldn't mind but the talent involved in this is insane and if this was equal to half the sum of its parts it'd be pretty cool. it was the supergroup of cartoons

lmao imagine having problems getting girls

never, anons just say they have girlfriends

>implying
coolidge was the only incel

Is it really that bad?

Infinity Train was good, but it was severely held back by it's format/length. They desperately wanted it to be like over the garden wall, when it could have been a great weekly show.
Episodes usually began with them leaving a car and vaguely mentioning the trial/puzzle in it, and the car's theme was usually pretty wacky and looked fun, then the episode would focus on some character drama. If they had been able to do filler episodes to space out the drama, it would have been 10/10, but instead you feel jipped out of an interesting story and that they are trying to trick you into feeling more invested because you have to come up with half the story yourself.

>One ticket to Batman v Superman, please. At last, some entertainment for adults!

God what a shit thread ruined by people responding to bait.

Name a cartoon with better music Yea Forums

honestly wish there were more tracks, would love to listen to that stuff innawoods on a nice fall day

I haven't read any of your posts since the first one, but you really are a jaded faggot my dude, it's time to face the facts

The show itself is fairly mediocre, saved completely last minute by the twist/revelation.
The music is 11/10.
In any case it delivers the Autumn atmosphere perfectly which is why it's good.

I don't think that's entirely why it's good. There's some fun world building stuff and I like the few things that aren't entirely spelled out for the audience, like the black turtles. There's a few good twists throughout the stories too. I still like the twists with Auntie Whispers and the guy who owned the mansion. It was a fun show.
