It insists upon itself.

Kino

Should have focused more on the space exploration rather than people crying. Also becomes very deliberate and plodding at the end, it takes way too long just to show McConaughey's character going back for Anne Hathaway.

Hold on to your hats, because I'm about to blow your mind.

The "aliens" were able to interact with the past, but their abilities were quite limited. They couldn't just send the answers to the universe back in time. In fact, their only influence on the past was the manipulation of gravity. They were able to create a wormhole, which is merely a distortion of gravity. And when they brought Coop into the 5th dimension, he could only communicate with his daughter (who was in another time and another galaxy) with gravitational fields. What is gravity? It is an attractive force between bodies. And do you know what else is an attractive force between bodies?

kino only incels dislike it because of muh love TARS

>Dude love lmao

Lol, at this damage control. It’s garbage, now move along

yuo only blowed my balls (no offence or any sexual meaning)

I'm about to blow your mind. Everybody that watched the movie already knew the "aliens"/future humans only could manipulate gravity through time, the same Cooper did at the end.
But the comparison between gravity and love is lame as fuck dude.

Immediately loses points for Nolan's consistently awful dialogue. Fucking ugly as sin lighting. Could just be the filter. Stupid story and a really annoying ending. Not worth watching just like every other Nolan film

This so much. I couldn't care less about the chars (maybe except the nigg) but the planets did/do look so fcking awesome

no one making it really cared about making a good story, it was a movie that was obviously going to make money based on how easy it would be to market.

>love is just like gravity lmao

Would’ve worked better as a father/son movie

Pure stupidity.

The ending leaves a bad taste in my mouth

hey mongoloid, its a paradox. its nothing special. it was meant to happen, it just has a convoluted time-traveling origin. ironically, the paradox causes itself, causing a paradox.

One of the most overrated films ever. Bad dialogue, bad storytelling, constant exposition being shoved into your face. Good performances but even those can't save this mess. Also Nolan is colour blind and it fucking shows, the film is a looks like a blue gray mush. The film is too overreliant on music and exposition not enough on visual storytelling.

was fine until "da power of luv" crap

space stuff was retarded but good (magical library aside), earth stuff was retarded and bad

a poor man's Gravity

I feel that film was so close to being a masterpiece. I don't know yet what really bothers me. I dislike Hathaway but she was fine this time. The comedy relief characters which I trully despise in general actually worked great with the robots in these small doses. The vagueness of the past and the absence of exposition also worked in favor of the film.

I guess I really hated that "love" solved everything. Good ending thought.

COPE the post maybe Arrival is up your alley

I didn't get all that luv you say, "gravity" is the only thong that can travel in time so it was accurate

What Matt Damon said about children convinced me that adoption is absolutely retarded.

deep...

but she was wrong in the end

what did he say?

That parents are willing to die for their children, that instinct is very powerful but only if they are related.

lol take that Brad pitt

Pretty good, but it didn’t reach it’s full potential. Honestly the movie should have been 4+ hours long

well i mean reddit likes it so i guess i hate it then

typical nolan. "Deep" and "serious" tone that tricks brainlet into not realizing that plot is ridiculous bullshit.

> DUDE, WHAT IF LOVE IS THE 5th DIMENSION
stopped watching right there

well, after people praised his movies about a literal grown adult play-pretending like a bat it's not strange he got weird ideas about his work

Really enjoyed seeing Matt Damon btfo.

how does hate not transcend space and time too though?

This guy asking the big questions.

Disappointing.
It made me realize Nolan is a hack.

great sci fi. Only absolute wanker faggots hate movies like this because they went to art school and their dads never loved them.

Pretty much sums it up - if you hate this movie you're beyond help, a total faggot, and never going to see the inside of a labia.

it was too rushed, especially the first half, and some of the dialogue was clunky

You know, it amuses me to no end when mean-spirited hipsters on Yea Forums that think making fun of other people’s emotions is not only an OK thing to do, but that it will count as a “hot-take” that people will get behind... and then it backfires right agaist their smug prick faces, because turned out every single person that answered said “hot-take” called them out for being the assholes they are. Of course you two morons will just mumble something about “sheep mentality”, say something like “you’re all too dumb to understand me” and then you’ll hiss and slither down a drainpipe. You all pretend to be so much smarter and better than those around you for the sake of covering up your own insecurities. You need to believe your own lie, that you’re “superior beings” because you don’t like some movies, and that that entitles you to mock people for showing emotion. Because otherwise, you’d go mad.

Go ahead, fellas. You can either accept Interstellar for the perfectly fine piece of entretainment that it is... or live out the rest of your lives as miserable killjoys that slog through life, recoiling at anything joyful or upbeat in the world. Because that’s who you chose to be, apparently. Yes, it’s corny. And that’s fine. Because billions of people all over the world felt the heart behind that line. And you would tooo, if you dropped the pissy holier-than-thou attitude and loosened up for a second, ya pricks.

This was never about Interstellar or it’s lines, was it? It’s all about you. Somewhere along the line... you were sapped of your childlike capacity for wonder and withered into the husks you’ve become now. And if you can’t be happy, no one can.

By all means, keep this up. You’ll eventually drive away everyone around you, until you’re all alone, stewing in your own hate. And then you’ll turn that hate on yourself. Because it’ll be all you have left.

Does that sound sane to you?

Lust and hate

It would be better if they dropped the space time travel bullshit and just explored the world they created for a plot that was much less interesting.

Wanna elaborate on that?

No

Nolan was immensely ambitious, but that ambition allowed us to see his shortcomings as a writer, again and again throughout the movie. The production quality was good, except for the final two scenes, which were visually the most mediocre part of the movie and I can't figure out why.

>LOVE TRANSCENDS TIME AND SPACE

YOU CAN LOVE SOMEONE WHO DIED SOME TIME AGO LIKE UR GRANDMA
YOU CAN LOVE SOMEONE WHO LIVES IN ANOTHER COUNTRY LIKE UR AUNT

QED NOLAN WINS AGAIN

BUT LONG DISTANCE ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS ARE A LIE DONT BOTHER

Magnets?

It's patrician.

Four fourskinssssssss

>dude the future of mankind is at stake, get a grip
>BAAAWWWW MY DAUGHTER MY BABY YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO HAVE A FAMILY

>your dad left on a possible suicide mission to save the world
>FUCK YOU DAD FOR NOT CALLING ME YOU'RE DEAD TO ME NOW

Was I supposed to sympathize with these characters?
