Why can't Marvel get close to this? Look at the composition of the images. The acting. The pace. No explosions or quips every five seconds, hardly any females characters or minorities on screen. This feels like a proper arthouse film, not a Hollywood movie. One can only wonder how many Oscars this will win.
Why can't Marvel get it? Is it because the source material is bad? Indian fans wouldn't take it? I really want to know.
>This feels like a proper arthouse film, not a Hollywood movie
This looks exactly like a Hollywood movie, dumbass Also they did it by completely ignoring source material, which people would complain about in any other situation if DC film universe wouldn't be completely fucked as it is
Aiden Jenkins
>Why can't Marvel If this is the first thought you get then you're a braindead capeshit manchild
Kevin Phillips
>He saw Arthur Joker >And felt so empowered >By a movie made in Hollywood >It's sad to think she was once someone's son >Like a lamb to the slaughter
The script of this film isn't based on any comic book. It's just a film. And that's why it's automatically better than other current capeshit.
Comic books are for (man)children
Leo Brooks
>hardly any females characters or minorities on screen. What? Literally every other character he interacts with is either black or female. Half of the film is about his mom, half about his gf. And his gf is literally black lmao
Like look at the oscar lineup for the last 10 years, it almost never includes capeshit movies, and this movie shoots for that niche so it looks like that, instead of capeshit, but it's still a matter of target audience, marketing and calculated investments and production. If you think that it's somehow less committee made than any other big property production, I really pity you
Jack Russell
whole script got leaked, it's easy to make a good looking trailer
I hope there is more in the film than in the trailer. Nothing about it excites me at all
Noah Sanders
>adultfanfiction.net
Adam Wright
it is literally based on The King of Comedy from Martin Scorsese
Jose Nguyen
nope just one-sided feels
Julian Brown
>euro hour Yea Forums >people say it looks like shit >north american hour Yea Forums >DUDE ITS KINO what went so wrong bros? we were finally the good guys and now europoors are back on top
David James
>it is literally based on The King of Comedy It's inspired by it, big difference.
the most exciting footage we have is an ambulance gently driving into another car.
Tyler Ramirez
Thought it fell apart in the last act, but was still good overall.
Isaac Ward
it's not going to have any epic underwater battles if that's what you mean the biggest scenes are probably the riots later in the movie
Gabriel Thomas
Did you see that scene where he went into the fridge!? he's a genius!!
Gavin Turner
FOUR-YEAR-OLD GIRL
Chase Williams
it's sucking itself off so much it'd be so embarrassing if it's shit.
Jayden Bennett
>you still think we’re all clowns based commie/fashy incitement to violence
Sebastian Ortiz
So will they just ignore Suicide Squad and Leto's Joker? Also why would you make a movie about the origin story of the Joker? I have a feeling there's this one guy greenlighting shitty projects and noone says anything because either the guy's very charismatic, the son of the CEO or just brings a loaded gun into every meeting (before having an all nighter coke and hookers binge).
Joseph Evans
>Also they did it by completely ignoring source material, which people would complain about Only comicfags give a shit if comic movies ignore source material. All the decent capeshit does exactly that.
Leo Taylor
Fuck off, this looks like a generic festival movie that they slapped the Joker character on in hopes of winning oscars. Marvel is doing precisely what their comic books are, there's nothing for them to get because they're not dishonest fucks like WB/DC
Now go jump off a bridge
Camden Gray
>Dinero Dropped.
Nathan Adams
You are terminally retarded
Oliver Powell
>martha and thomas wayne murdered on screen again God fucking damn it, just make this the DC intro to every comic and movie, one final goddamn shot to recycle everytime
Jace Bailey
I guess they are saving him being the joker for the film?? >most exciting thing is some shit on a train and a protest
James Diaz
This is a standalone movie that was most likely something else and only got funding once they slapped a capeshit aspect to it
Xavier Bailey
I hope there are lots of explosions and the Joker flies up with his Jokercopter and uses his Jokerzooka to blow up the empire state building and there are blood and guts everywhere and then young Bruce Waye build a HUGE Batrobot that shoots lasers and rockets and they both fight it out underwater in a full CGI environment and i hope there's a whole lot of witty oneliners, they could contract Joss Whedon for that.
We already had Batman & Robin and it wasn't exactly popular with the domestic audience
Eli Gomez
Joker is the best character for reinterpreting his origin story because in the comics it is never settled, there’s a wide variety of Joker origin stories.
