Because it wasn't over-post-produced. Also no cgi.

Because the 80s was the most based decade ever. Even in the early 90s people had 80s nostalgia, that's how based it was.

>dude I saw some spaceships

It was god-tier because there was a recent renaissance of film technology that was still not mastered, so there was an influx of experimental ideas. Directors weren't being carried by the technology, so they still needed to know their shit. It was like a blend of the classic cinematography of the 70s and below, with some of the technology commonly used in the 90s.

80s are dry, boring, and for basedboys. Spiderkino is peak comfy

>I've seen movements you wouldn't believe...
>Clever girls attacking game wardens off the shoulder of the power station...
>I watched sweat droplets glitter in the dark on the chest of Jeff Goldblum.
>All of these embryos will be lost, like a can of shaving cream in the mud.
>Geez...No wonder I'm extinct...

>We were meant to be living in Space and have flying cars

>Instead wasted all the money on welfare for nogs and aids meds for fags and trannies

>Look Deckards I will preswnt you with a list of things I have seen:
>1.) Spaceships
>2.) Lasers
>This proves my humanity.

Because they used film and not digital chips. This as well.

I'm not sure, but it's one of the many reasons that Manhunter is so much better than Red Dragon.

Funny, it feels like ten years ago "80s aesthetics" was diffused photography, pastels, and On The Golden Pond.
And now it's neon colors, backlit photography with fog and grain, and Blade Runner

Is the synthwave/vaporwave aesthetic that got popular at the start of this decade

Kek

I didnt see any blades and there was hardly any running.
Should have called that shit Gun Walker.

I've sneed things you people wouldn't believe

Sounds better

The texture of film grain is so important that I feel like every film should include it in post-processing. Everything looks better with it.

This
It wasn't glossed over in post

I feel that some films, or at the very least some scenes, really benefit from the clarity. I think it would be dumb to just plaster it on everything.
