This show made me really depressed and I almost tried to commit suicide again after I watched it the first time. I'm glad that they took the suicide scenes out, it should have been illegal to show on TV in the first place.

bryce is the only character who does that because he's rich and his parents give him the freedom to do it.

I think they were trying to get more sympathy for his mom rather than solely Bryce. The whole point of him changing was to show that she was taking the right steps to make her child a better person and she could see progress being made, then it all ended for her when he died.

I thought the semi-redemption was done pretty well however it felt off because Bryce had always been written terribly. He was one dimensional in a cartoony villain way. You can't give a character depth after being shallow for so long.
