Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

When is Tarantino going start making normal movies against instead of this "look at all these references" crap?

The last good film Tarantino made was IG.

Django was the best Tarantino film because it was the most honest

He literally made that movie so he could say nigger as many times as possible and get away with it.

What I didn't like is how Tarantino didn't make Polanski a child rapist.

And this is relevant how?

I am tired of his alternate history schtick; at least it was kept to a minimum in 'Once Upon'.

Only 90s Tarantino was truly kino. He should go back to doing endlessly quotable crime movies.

Every movie is full of references, look at 2001 a space odyssey
This is the biggest brainlet criticism of Tarantino there is

They were insane leftist hippies, and liberal ideas from ten years ago are considered "racist" now, of course far left ideas in the 60s would seem unwoke

Never. Tarantino burned out any talent he had with Reservoir Dogs. Now he only makes movies about how much he likes white women's feet, how much he loves black men, or how much he loves pointless dialogue.

RLM said it best, modern Tarantino is simple wish fulfillment. We wish we could kill Hitler and Charles Manson, we wish we could beat up Bruce Lee, we wish we could kill a slave owner, etc.

That is why they seem so juvenile, because they have no higher purpose besides "make them clap". His attempts to display social commentary end up being swallowed in his desire to give the audience something to hoot and holler at.

Tarantino is incapable of making anything genuine. Just look st his dialogue, it’s all meaningless trite

Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction was meaningless but entertaining, quotable, and funny. Now the dialogues are meaningless but completely vacuous, inane, and boring.

Tarantino without Harvey Weinstein is nothing

>RLM calling anything simple
lol Mike is just jealous Tarantino made real movies while Mike wasted his life caring about film and can only make Space Cop

Actually his criticism is kinda on point. Has Quentin ever made a film about people being poor. Sharon Tate doesn't need redemption and hippies were never some massive threat to society lol. Sorry to bother you is more junk than Quentin's latest works.

That doesn't seem insightful at all especially considering that these are minor attributes a bout Tarantino movies.

Ok kid, we get it. RLM made space cop. We all know they made Space Cop. They make a joke about it every other episode. You aren't in a special club for saying the words "space cop" no one thinks you have some highly educated opinion because of this knowledge.

It has nothing to do with the fact that Tarantino is producing comic book style wish fulfillment tripe for the retarded masses.

More kino * auto-correct mobile phone..

what are you talking about mate? the guy is literally complainig about not having made a more realistic portrayal of the mansons. like anyone cares about that aspect of the family. not everything has to be about fucking race

Attributes that directly influence the emotional and psychological impact of his movies are not minor. I found Django, Inglorious, and Hollywood all unenjoyable for the same reasons.

So you found IG entertaining because of the Hitler scene? This is what I mean. Hitler could just have easily have made an escape in the movie and it wouldn't have changed much, likewise, it could have been another high ranking German official rather than Hitler himself. It just stands out because we haven't seen revisionist cinema like this before but honestly it doesn't change the movie much.

No, it's everything to the movie. The shaming of Hitler, Manson, and the Slave Owner are the ultimate point of the movies. I'm not into historical revision to begin with, but Tarantinos hard-boiled approach feels so childish in context, especially since none of these premises are dangerous in any way. Every hates Nazis and slave owners, watching them be tortured is nothing but sugar candy in film form. Tarantino used to make DANGEROUS and unique films.

what the fuck is IG

what the fuck are you talking about. he has never made a movie that isn't a parody/pastiche of movies and their genres
that's his thing
>i didn't go to film school i went to films
hence, i didn't learn how you can tell stories with film i learned what films are like and set about re-creating them in like a weird little homage. I don't think it's even a stretch to say that he has never actually made a film

>folks
yikes what a hot take

>those disgusting feet shots
How does he get away with this?

Couldn't enjoy that one. I was rooting for the nazis desu. They were the good guys. (even in real life). But they've been dehumanized and demonized to no end thanks to the (((them))).

Bear jew, and the others...were the bad guys, it was impossible to sympathize with them, so much so that i wonder if it was intentional on Tarantino's part. That aside, Landa was also the most amazing character of the film. (best written one too, by far).
