I did read the book, it was obviously a piece written in satire, however, if you were to read it yourself, you'd know that there was a mixture of comedy and seriousness. I find it hard to believe that you think such a thing is uncommon. I also don't actually care about the issue. He wrote a lot of true things in the book, which is why people have debated it. Try reading it yourself. I read it 16 years ago. As for the whole office ordeal, the only place where anyone refutes it is an unsourced "debunk" site that reads like a Yea Forums thread. Beyond that, I looked into it and it's difficult to verify ANYONE'S office there.
