She lost. She tried and did nothing. Again, circumstance counts, there were times when others couldve won but didnt because circumstances were stacked against them.
Ego was in his way, he wasnt taken seriously as a leader because he thought he deserved it. Once he earned it by manning up it made sense but it was something he was working towards the whole time.

My main complaint with Korra was how dull the bending looked. In Avatar its like everyone had their own style. In Korra it was pretty much just punch and shoot fire or air or rock out of your fist.

The show was so awful it tried to have an entire character moment of Tezin be about how he wasn't his father (The show isn't Avatar TLA) and that he should be judged on his own merits, not in relation to his father (Our show sucks but it's not as awful as sooome of the other shows on Nick, please don't hate us!), then proceeds to do a 180 and slap more Avatar TLA references on us. All the villains are infinitely more compelling and morally complex than Korra, and some are legitimately right. Kuvira did nothing wrong and the show has the audacity to act like she did anything evil, when the entire show presents her as a uniter and a strong leader who looks out for her nation. Then the show ignores that Korra had two boyfriends and ships her with the chick who she barely had any connection to in order to garner some "lasting power" by tossing away all criticism as "homophobes being mad", and riding off into the sunset with shipper money. Entire characters went with incomplete or no character arcs, I couldn't tell you one character that was interesting that wasn't a villain, or was tied to the villain. The only example I have is the two part episode of the first avatar, which was written and animated by the original crew of ATLA. Korra is the biggest garbage heap I've ever witnessed. Fuck you.

It's worth watching because it has some good segments. Don't expect it to be as good as Avatar, though. Quick rundown:
>Season 1
The worst of the bunch, has the most retarded Deus Ex machina ending (because the writers didn't know they'd be allowed to make more seasons so they wrapped the story up incredibly quickly), has the best antagonist in the series, also has a shitty love triangle that takes up too much time and some obvious plot "twists". It's only worth watching so that you get an introduction to the characters and its world which the other seasons build on.

Has god tier comedy scenes with a certain character (won't spoil who it is, you'll know when you see him), but outside of that the plot is pretty stupid, the finale as well, although there's a few good fighting scenes and the helicopter scene in the finale is pretty good.
>Season 3
Definitely the best season, it has a lot of great fights and moments, a shame that the villain is a cringy anarchist because he is pretty promising at first.
>Season 4
The god tier comedy character returns and his scenes are still great, also the first few episodes before Korra gets her powers back is pretty cool as well, but outside of that and a few good fight scenes there's not much good to be had, I especially think the mecha battle is distasteful.
To sum it all up:
3 >>> 4 >>> 2 >>> 1
