Exactly. His name was already garbage when he got locked up because Partlow was hiding that Omar had been calling him out the whole time. His "MY NAME IS MY NAME!" scene was perfect because you could tell he knew by that point it was already too late. In the eyes of the street, he was a punk that was too scared to step to Omar.
In Marlo's final scene, the hoodlums in the background all shout "Omar" because even though he died, his name survived. Marlo's name was forgotten when he lied low during Omar's quest for revenge.

The only hits That have ever been reported on the news that were done by snipers,
were done on a local Pagans/Warlocks? chapter leader who had decided to patch his club over to the Hell’s Angels. This hit was successful.
The other hit was the attempted killing of the Woman who owned or managed the fanciest local Gentlemens Club, Delilah’s Den. It’s not certain whether that hit was really a sniper or not since the Woman survived.
Maybe sniper killings happen, but nobody realizes, or it doesn’t get reported, but quality rifle marksmanship takes skill, and the people whi are familiar with it, are either too good to bother with bullshit street crime, or are so good nobody notices.
The average cop can’t shoot for shit, and gang bangers usually have trouble purchasing the right tupe of bullets for their guns. This is according to the Department of Justice.
