I don't play poker. Why is this funnyn? Was Matt Damon, an "A list celebrity" just unable to keep a poker face or something?

He’s not checking because he doesn’t know if his hand will win. He’s checking because he wants other players to make bets for him. The issue is that his check reeks of “ive got something” because he’s not as good as the pros.

That's assuming everyone else would have even bet, with their garbage hands they probably would have let him take it. It would have scared off everyone except maybe a pocket overpair.

I know, but the conversations that result with people who know fuck all about poker triggers me. It shouldn't, but it does.
