Patriarchy controlling the resources: don't understand the argument here, would you rather have the matriarchy in charge instead? wouldn't that be even more feminist and immersion breaking? I mean i think it makes a lot of sense that the more physically competent (aka males) would end up dominating in such dire circumstance when a society can't afford luxurious like social equality.

The part about furiosa being in charge sure its weird but can still be rationalized by Joe wierd fetishes. I mean we have women in charge of real and relevant military positions irl (see ministers of defense in many Europoor countries). If anything the movie shows that it is a bad idea to give assign women such roles, since we see that furiosa ends up being a traitor and ends up completely destroying the society that empowered her in the first place.
