True, I think he let his KO's get to his head . From round 1 onwards he wasn't boxing but trying to bully Bivol around with power punches. But normally the Reynoso crew does their research well so they would have know they're in with a good boxer. I think Bivol just does what he needs to do and doesn't take risks, that's why he never looks astounishly great but just the better fighter, sometimes just a bit better than bums he fights against.

Hope canelo doesnt try to rematch, he will get embarrased. I feel bivol could have done way more damage if he wanted to, but at the same time this is how you get caught in the sauce. Seeing how he had canelo against the ropes, this is exactly what other fighters would have tried to do. Slug it out when canelo is leaning, but then you're exposing yourself to a power shot which is what canelo was probably hoping for. Bivol extremely talented. His defense is superb. I honeslty don't know how you can KO bivol or win against him. I guess use his own tactic and run up the score card because mans defense is impenetrable.

This is a great way to put it. Bivol could have done way more damage if he wanted to, but he stuck to his plan and only does the necessary to win which can come with a KO. Perhaps if he took more risks with his skillset he would look like a superstar honestly. Mans defense is on point all the time and can easily run down someone with poor stamina if he really pushed for that.

he should have a backup plan if his power punch strategy didnt work(last night). He was on the inside many times and didn't try to throw combos instead kept going for a power punches that were blocked all the time. He looked silly after round 3 when Bivol took over the fight and canelo was already starting to get gassed. Roidnoso didnt have a back up plan for this type of fighter and banked on going for le epic KO instead. Either they didnt do their homework or got too cocky.
So how do we deal with the simp problem /box/? A lot of fighters have had their careers ruined due to simping, and we can add the toe-sucker Canelo to the list. Why? Because he literally got the idea to go vegan from watching a netflix documentary with his wife. I'm convinced that SHE convinced him to do it against his and his team's better judgement.
