Just finished this, what do you think of it?
Just finished this, what do you think of it?
really gay film
I literally watched this about 2 hours ago. It's pretty lame. Good actors, shitty writing and directing
ultimate pleb filter
It's kino like everything else Refn has made
Felt really pretentious. Didn't like.
pseud trash
It's nice to see Yea Forums's not a hivemind on movies, at least
Looks good but cold and sterile characters. Art school nonsense. Stick with Drive
honestly, this is one of the few times the majority of thread posters shared my opinion. I think the secret is disliking anything
>dude neon lights lmao
Refn is a hack.
Refn tried to be Joe in this one, but the extremely slow pacing just felt forced. Too Old To Die Young is pretty much a better version of this.
TAKE IT OFF
she cute
I still haven't seen Neon Demon yet, but so far OGF is my favorite film by Refn. Atmosphere and colors were nice, the oedipal character arc was interesting in that it had a subtly unsettling quality, and the karaoke scenes with supercop were a strange mixture of emotional release and social oppression.
Posts that assume entire boards are singular opinions are either ignorant or purposeful shitposts.
Too Old retroactively made me appreciate OGF more.
one of my favorites
Both Refn and Ryan's best work so far
Idk wtf u think? I'd hire Thai to run everything. Bless you little monkey people.
Does it end well? Too Old To Die Young ended poorly. I don't want to allow him to jew me again like that. Time wasting motherfucker.
it's a better ending than totdy
>Idk wtf u think?
I guess I think the film is 30% plot, 70% symbolism, and unless you understand both you won't really get the film. I know that makes me sound like Armond, getting all cerebral and shit, but that's my take, at least. Perhaps most importantly I enjoyed it, if I'm allowed to say that here
Fucking underage retards and boomers ITT don't know kino when they see it.
OGF is BETTER than Drive in every single way, and defies all expectations in a good way. Critics hated it cause no white girls were fucked by niggers.
McDonald's Art house
Boring I mean wow the art, it had so many underlying themes I easily picked apart I just don't know where to start in my analysis
it had film school tier symbolism
I thought all scenes with the Thai cop was genuinely pretty cool, good cinematics. But holy shit is it boring. The characters were poorly written and the their motivations were pretty weak. At the level of cinema some of Refn's other films are at this one is around a 4/10.
>Critics hated it cause no white girls were fucked by niggers
>But pairing Goose with a gook woman is so based!
>Can't wait to have my school shooter hapa babies!
You're anti-white and actively supporting white genocide. Kys
I liked it a lot, mainly because of the strong Lynch vibe. It's definitely not for eberyone though. It's much less accessible than Drive so people looking for Drive 2 were disappointed, but I really liked it for what it was.
That eye torture scene was too gross desu
>b-but shock and wow factor!
Good. Yea Forums should enjoy things made with love. I love Nick cage films because he's so over the top. Everything with Vincent price because he's a campy bastard that embraced his roles.

It's kinda comfy. I liked the Thai cop.
What the fuck does that matter? Not everyone goes to film school, and anyone who makes a deal of it is a pretentious twat. Why would you even reply to my post with that comment when I didn't make any comment about "symbolism" in the film?
....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................got a light?
one of the best movies ever made
The karaoke was on point, also Gosling was preparing for the lonely and horny meme since drive.
>Not everyone goes to film school, and anyone who makes a deal of it is a pretentious twat.
based retard sperging and completely missing the point of the comment
Also this movie
Saw it when it first came out and thought it was awful. Saw it a couple years later after I've mostly forgotten it and I thought it was pretty good. So I have no idea really.
Then enlighten me, what was the point of it? Considering I never posted about "symbolism" at all regarding OGF (as symbolism is a weak level of cinema viewing anyway), it made no sense to bring up "film school tier symbolism" as a reply. Were you making a comment about Neon Demon in context that I shouldn't bother with it?
>hurr people are retarded because I can't string together a coherent sentence in my replies to them
If you had an overbearing horrible Mother you would like this film.
Too old to die young is infinitely slower than ogf
based post in a cringe thread
