Bought: >Avengers: Endgame 4K - Man is this film boring on the second viewing. When you get over the nostalgia it kinda shit. >All Is True - Anything Kenneth Branagh makes has kino acting and visuals. Makes up for the wonky writing. >Hannibal 4K - It had been a while but I loved seeing this again. One of the most underrate sequels of all time. So dark and batshit crazy.
Watched: >The Greatest Showman 4K - I saw Hugh Jackman live recently so rewatching this was fun. Probabaly gonna watch Les Mis soon and try to ignore Russel Crowe shouting his songs.
Pre-Ordered: >Batman 4 Film 4K Steelbook Collection - I'm the opposite of everyone else in the sense I can't wait to see the campy Kilmer and Clooney films in colorful 4K. Don't really care for the Burton films.

Dragged Across Concrete, Only God Forgives and Oldboy are good so it can't all be shit taste bro.
Nice, I've got the Arrow version of The Thing but I hear the Shout Factory is decent too (different transfer though I think?)
>Hannibal Absolute kino, Julianne Moore wasn't great in the role but Gary Oldman and Anthony Hopkins more than carry it for her, and the direction is the strongest in the series.
>Bought: Cold Pursuit, a massively underrated film, if not for 'LIAM NEESON RACIST BAD BAD BAD' it would be held up alongside The Death of Stalin as a staple of black comedy
>Arriving soon That Mitchell and Webb Look seasons 1 and 2, I haven't seen it in years but always loved it when it was on TV, hoping it'll hold up Final Destination 5, these films are surprisingly hard to track down on blu ray, I managed to find this one on eBay pretty cheap
>Pre-ordered John Wick 3, yeah I'm thinking he's back
Anthony Wood
>Cold Pursuit Jesus, I thought I was the only one who'd seen it. Brilliant movie, good to see someone else enjoyed it
Yeah it really seems to have gone under the radar, I saw it at the cinema and there were maybe 10 people there, and when a thread about it would appear here there'd be 2 or 3 people in them, the studios clearly weren't very confident in it because most people just don't seem to have heard of it, and most of those who had thought it was 'just another Taken movie'

Godzilla KOTM arrives Saturday for me.
I'm still incredibly peeved there's no way to get the Anime Trilogy on Bluray in the West yet. Normies can have their Netflix, and as bad as the Anime Trilogy is, I still want it on my shelf next to all my other kaiju movies.
America and Japan are both region A for blu ray so you could always import it

Saw the new cut in cinema, and while my memory of the film wasn't fresh enough to compare it to the last version I saw (Redux), it definitely looked the part. Really excited to pick that set up

They don't have English subs though, so there would be no real point.

Airplane! Band of Brothers/The Pacific Peaky Blinders S1 & 2 Hannibal S1 Kubo & the Two Strings Street Trash Crank 2
I don't understand how people can just watch digital without physically owning stuff. Like... who doesn't look at a big shelf of movies and TV shows and feel proud of their collection and the things they've experienced on the screen? Is this what getting old feels like?
I preordered the Criterion Collection Godzilla box set. All 15 Showa era films in one set, a lot of which have never been released on Blu-ray over here, all of them in the original Japanese with subs, including the Japanese cut of King Kong vs Godzilla which has never been officially released outside of Japan. Really excited.
Damn Japan and their late releases, but at least the wait is almost always worth it for the fancy trinkets that come with their premium releases. I pre-ordered pic related and it even comes with a coffee mug.
I also pre-ordered a ton of other Blu-rays but that's a story for another post.
i bought the mad max fury road dvd. last one i bought. thinking of getting the new john wick dvd.

Losing the Ultraviolet "collection" I'd built up from those free slips of paper inside blu ray cases was annoying enough, the idea of paying for streaming rights for a movie and having it disappear because some contract between companies expired would make me livid.

Every year my family goes on vacation to the US (from Canada) and I get a bunch of movies for pretty cheap, including the Barnes & Noble Criterion sale. This is what I've picked up so far. I've already seen a few of them and I know some are supposed to be pretty shit but I get them anyway
Government and big business can’t censor or memory hole physical media once you own it. Overjoyed to have tracked down ‘The Siege of Firebase Gloria’ recently. Fuck you, Sony. t. cranky old man

Oh shit I thought this was just a repack, you've got me all excited now.
