Link between Palpatine and Rey was telegraphed right from the start

How come literally no one caught on this most obvious clue before? It's been right under our noses since TFA.

Put it together with the fact that Williams was directed to compose Rey's theme to sound like a nursery melody, add the new footage, and it's apparent that Rey was supposed to be Palpatine's child or creation in some way right from the start.

shills are in full force I see

All hail Darth Sue

Rey's theme is the Force's theme in Dorian mode.

Also, Kylo's theme is the inverse of Rey's theme.

The string part is, yes. There were many videos on that.
This glockenspiel part though 100% follows the cadence of the Emperor's suite and I couldn't find even one mention of this before.

Like when people said snoke's theme was like darth plagueis?

Snoke's theme was 1:1 "Darth Plagueis" theme, but it was never a "Darth Plagueis" theme, it was just called "Palpatine's Teachings", which means it might have been retconned to just concern dark side teachings.

Cool.

So Rey is just another Anakin Skywalker force baby. ALL ACCORDING TO PLAN R-RITE GUISE?

I made this after TFA and we saw the TRAITOR guy with lightsaber resistant material. Yellow because that's "new" but from the old EU, the staff so it related to Rey specifically and has a non-lethal option. Something new that made sense for the character. Oh well.

As for the dark side bit, there are lines from the PT and OT about arrogance and being powerful without much training I was posting after TFA, saying that'd be how to make the Mary Sue aspects pay off in an interesting way. The most surprising thing about TLJ is that Rian went "lol NOPE," and by surprising I mean it made no sense. TLJ was just spinning wheels for the sake of not giving anyone what they wanted. JJ seems to agree since it's happening now.

I DO! I DO REMEMBER PALPATINE! HE SHOOT LIGHTNING AND HE SPINS!

Yea Forums had called this before TFA was even released

There's like a hundred videos on score analysis from TFA, and yet not a single one touches this particular section of the composition. At this point I'm wondering if Disney wasn't specifically striking down videos that made this connection before their big reveal, it's just suspicious.

You're a autist

So what was Lucas brought in for if J.J. was developing this twist the entire time?

I'm on the spectrum, yes.

Snoke's theme was written for TFA, Rian Johnsons didn't follow on the leads from JJ.
