The biggest problem with the sequels is using three different directors for one trilogy. That's why it feels like the trilogy is barely starting despite Rise of Skywalker being the last movie.

Remember how people always said that Lucas had nothing to do with ESB and ROTJ because they had different directors?

Two of those have the same director though.

No one tell him

It did literally just started, TLJ fucked up by not having any kind of time skip. Rey falls for Kylo hours after she had seen him murder his own father.

>three different directors

No. The biggest problem is that there was never any real creative vision for the story. There isn't even a philosophy that demands any kind of story. The entire plan was to package non-stop noise and special effects. It wasn't an accident, that is the plan. They are just making an expensive set of jingle-keys to keep children distracted, and that is completely by design from the start. That is all Abrams ever does, and that's why he was hired.

No, ROS is directed by a different JJ Abrams. This one jumps higher.

His ex wife had more to do editing them.

The main problem is the lack of focus on the story and useless characters wasting screentime.

Wasn't the OT directed by 3 different people?

Is the JJ Abrams on Rise of Skywalker a different one from the JJ Abrams on Force Awakens?

I think the real reason is that JJ was saying in interviews he had no intention of directing the other two.

There are two major issues with the ST. The first is that they avoided consistency with the previous films in multiple ways; their treatment of Luke being the most obvious example of this, though the light speed suicide attack was equally as infuriating when pondered on.

The second issue is that they are, quite simply, bad films.

The TROS JJ is JJ FUCK IT ABRAMS

Now explain how the prequels have a story compared to the sequels

SOOOOOOONIC HERRROOOOOOOOOOES

she only (co)edited the first movie tho

>The biggest problem with the sequels is using three different directors for one trilogy

no, the ot had different directors for each movie but had lucas overseeing all of them. that's the difference.

she was one of 3 editors on the first one. she did great work but her contribution is massively overstated by feminists and lucas haters who want to offload the success of the ot from lucas onto a woman.

it's still the same girls' club story group overseeing the whole thing
