Now I was probably 6 when Zeo started (I vividly remember waiting for it with baited breath and reading about it in magazines / annuals) and 4/5 when I started watching Rangers proper, effectively making my pal a foetus

-Changeŕion (1996)
One off series with some pretty great action and an overall fun story arc. Pretty fun.
-Gosei Sentai Dairanger (1993)
Probably one of the best sentai series in the whole lineup. Overarching plots along with great villains and character arcs. Gorma Sanbaka and Hell Boxer Jin arcs are two great examples.
-Chojuu Sentai Liveman (1988?)
80's sentai which makes you wonder how they got away with this stuff. Darker than usual show, yet has some great action and character moments.
-Kamen Rider Faiz (2003)
Early 2000's Rider that tends to divide the fandom, yet contains honestly some of the best Heisei has to see. Also Kusaka.
-Ultraseven (1967)
True classic, better than the original series. More pulpy sci-fi horror than some other ultra series, yet stands well to the test of time.

I think we can all agree that although not perfect, it had alot of potential and certainly captured the spirit of the PR franchise if not the little details. I went and saw it with some friends on opening week and had a blast. It's a real shame we're not getting a sequel, especially since I thought they marketed it very well with the Twitch marathons.

THe biggest problem is it fell into the capeshit trap of focusing on the origin, so we ended up with a combined 15 minutes of action. The original PR movie did it right, in that you got a morphed fight scene immediately when it starts.
