Holden's character arc is dropped halfway through.

Kemper and Manson being in the trailer is mostly just a red herring/false advertising and doesn't amount to anything.

Any set-up for Gregg's character is also thrown away. He's there mostly as fallout for season 1, but also gets left behind towards the end.

Wendy's relationship arc doesn't really have the same effect as Holden's in season 1, where we can see his job shifting his personality and relationship. I don't really know what I'm supposed to think of her relationship or how it had any effect on her.

The new boss, Gunn, is sort of a mixed bag. He's set up as being shrewd and political, but ultimately does nothing.

Overall, the season feels like it is half-baked. Like there should be 5 more episodes that just aren't there. Which is strange because episodes are very repetitve, going over so many times how Holden says it's a black male in his 20s and 30s, then others disagreeing, and just minor squabbles.
