It led to Simmons and Teller's battle on the rooftop, where Teller successfully killed Simmons or so he thought but little did he know Simmons would be revived as an immortal vampire and he'd have to go on a journey with an Italian man who would teach him to defeat vampires but would die himself due to a prophecy put forth by a Tibetan monk and Teller would have to finish the battle on his own, but sadly Simmons' head survived and his Chinese servant took it aboard a boat where Simmons was able to fatally wound Teller by piercing his throat with eyebeams, however with his last breath Teller was able to destroy the boat with both of them aboard, killing both of them and ending the conflict once and for all. Or so he thought.

Fletcher was a coke head who lost his sense of tempo years ago after his son died. Neiman wasn’t rushing or dragging because there was no actual tempo to begin with. Fletcher was just being a dick and releasing his frustrations on “the new guy” as a sign of dominance.

The Music Never Stopped was a good sequel to Whiplash, really redeemed Fletcher's character.
