11's power level is too inconsistent. I hope season 4 she stops being a moopy teenager and trains with her powers to get stronger.

Who the fuck wants that? Are you female? The best thing about season one was the kids' and adults' acting over the seriousness of their friend/family member disappearing and now it's just like a cartoon where everything is a joke waiting to happen until suddenly lol this person's dead and you're meant to give a fuck, when four minutes ago there was a huge gag scene. The tone of season one was really great to me, but that's probably just me and I feel like they don't really have to try anymore I guess, just try to make scenes that would become memes or whatever

To be fair, it was a pretty funny curveball, but it sucks because our boy will be forever cucked now because his best friend is a lesbian.

This. What made season 1 so good was that it actually felt fairly grounded despite the monsters and powers. Seeing mike’s despondency after they find that body in the lake, watching joyce’s gradual mental degradation, it all felt fairly realistic. Now we’ve got fucking sing along scenes at crucial moments, characters laughing while being interrogated and treating the whole thing like a joke, and random bits of very heavy product placement (far heavier than it ever was in season 1). The only plots that felt like season 1 was Will struggling to fit in and billy’s struggle, both of which featured plausible reactions and good acting from the characters. It’s just a shame those plots played such minor roles. Season 1 was the absolute peak, I hope season 4 is a return to form.

I think there might still be a shot for Steve there. At the end she looks at him wistfully and says that they’re just friends but she doesn’t sound too sure about it. Idk if I’m just reading too much into it but I feel like she’s too good an actress for it to have been read many other ways. Maybe she’s bi?
