>punished tobey
bring it on

i know amazing and mcu was really shit, but it doesn't give us an excuse to pretend 3 wasn't shit as well

>This is my boyfriend, since we are having this dinner I took the opportunity to introduce him to you and mom
So said the teenager girl to her parents, besides the hobo looking guy

3 was good, people shit on it because it's popular to do so and lol dancing scene. it was overstuffed and lacked focus, but it was good.

I would love an old man Peter.

It was messy but it wasn't bad.
I just think they needed to focus on one villain instead of multiple.

Raimi is not kino and he is not back, moron.

totally, who wants that shlocky outdated raimi spiderman when we have based MCU iron man sidekick!

why? Not enough quips for ya?

peter was 20 then, he'd be 40 now. he was 40 in the comic strip

I would love a Spider-Man 4 ending with Tobey dying a heroes death so I can cry in a movie theatre and feel good about it.

Just because Sony and Disney broke up does not mean Raimi is back dumbass.

>crying
Kill yourself faggot scum

You are a very strong man user, and we're all impressed, how's the wife and kids

>tobey gets crucified for dancing even when it's hilarious
>faggot starlord dances, noone bats an eye

This. It was definitely inferior to 1 and 2, but it's still a really enjoyable movie overall. Still better than anything that came out after it, easily

GOLEM

>people hate on prequels for bad dialogue and shitty cgi
>10 years later they all watch capeshit which is nothing but that

>peter was 20 then

What? In Spider-Man 3?
No, that's more likely his age in 2, though Harry seemed to be of legal drinking age, and he and Peter were in the same year, right?

In 3 I thought of him more as a 25ish grad student though he could have been a 22 year old at the very end of his undergrad I guess

Perfect. I want to see him struggling balancing parenthood and his duties as Spiderman, a punished Peter.
Or perhaps he's already retired and something drags him back into it.
As for villains, I want to see scorpion jumping from ceiling and shit. Or Kraven.

Was he a grad student? I don't recall him being at uni still. I would love to see him working with Otto or Connors professionally like in the PS4 game.

I’m posting this rxn image cuz it’s funny but for real I wish I got that excited about something. It looks fun.

1 = careful craftsmanship
2 = confidence
3 = hubris (overconfidence, arrogance), fall
4 = raimi & tobey's redemption

>Raimi is not kino
off to the ovens with you

Fake.
In the original unedited video, he was reacting to the Christchurch shooting.

In 3 he's still in classes with Connors, that's how he met Gwen.
If he's a grad student in 3 then that would mean Connors teaches at both levels, not sure if that's a thing

It was mediocre but it still had soul.

I'm not sure how American universities work but I've had professors that teach undergrad courses and also direct Ph.D students.
I didn't think post grad take courses though? I thought it was all dissertation. Maybe he is still undergrad.

>3 was good
>It was mediocre but it still had soul.
>it still had soul
I hate delusional company-war faggots so fucking much.

Grad students take courses to master the fundemental concepts of their field. They need this mastery before they become a candidate for a PhD.

Seriously though, as much as I would love Spider-man 4, I really just want Raimi to make a movie again. It's been like 6 years.

Spider Man was 24 or 25 in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

He was either in grad school or working and he was drawn like a man. He was anxious but hard working and smart. As Spiderman he was confident and a smart ass who used his brains and determination to win.

Rami never really got it either. His Peter was too cucky.

How did Raimi not get it?

Alternatively, in some cases it's a good thing how the movie versions of characters have been altered and made more distinct.

>he was confident and a smart ass who used his brains and determination to win
Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Mr. Fantastic, etc could all fit that same description, depending on which source material and how it's adapted

Raimi I think treated Spiderman somewhat like Superman and used 60's spidey comics as a reference. The producers of Smallville wrote the script for Spiderman 2. Norman Osborne was Lionel Luthor and Harry was Lex right down to the high school friendship and Harry's search for the truth of who Spiderman is. The parallels were there and I think the Raimi trilogy was better for it.

PLEASE CHRIST

>No, I don't know what context is, why do you ask?

Spider-Man 3 Context;
>Peter bonds with a symbiotic lifeform that amplifies his worst qualities, turning him into a dickhead. He proceeds to dance down the streets of New York as women look at him bemused, then buys a suit
GOTG context;
>Dancing by himself because it's a funny way to start a movie
>Dancing to distract the villain in the climax of the movie

>one more spin

Kino

SPIDERM4N

>Organic webs
Yuck

yeah I'm thinking he's back

Nothing about that looks fun. The dude is playing it up for views. If you’re that old and you look like someone’s sucking your dick when you watch a movie trailer, you should eat a bullet.

Please let this be real.

Fucking this.

1-3 describe my life haha...

Oh shit

>Spider-Man must find the mole in the newly formed 4th Reich before it's too late
Jesus Christ Raimi

I loved 3 all the way up to the point where Peter loses the symbiote in the church, from that point on everything took a nosedive.

you mean usury?

Ah OK, I thought you go straight from undergrad to PhD work, cheers mate!

The movie shouldn't have had the symbiote at all, and should have just been about Sandman. There were too many villains.

Dancing scene was unironically too smart for comic movie watchers.
He supposed to be cocky, not be better. Venom made him FEEL better about himself. Why would he even care about others opinion, he can basically punch a hole through their heads at this point if he wanted. He is fucking alpha, even if others dont know that.

His spidersense were tingling, If you know what i'm saying

>too many villains
this is just echoing some youtuber, pleb. You can easily have multiple villains, the problem is that Venom is such a major villain and part of spider-man that it shouldve been handled more seriously, both as it turned Parker bad, and as a villain. Sandman was great as a middle part. Harry Osborne didnt really play a major role in ruining the movie.

It's a shame, there's so many interesting threads in 3 that don't get resolved well

>Too brainlet to get fucking MCU capeshit
Get the fuck off this board

Iron Man was a drunk who relied on his technology too much. A but of an asshole Playboy.

Captain American was a boy scout who had to make tough choices to lead. He was fairly underwritten.

Wolverine was a killer who did the dirty work and had a heart of gold.

You know nothing about these characters.

Spidey wasn't on a team and often had to track and fight criminals on a shoe string budget. He had to be resourceful and push past his own limits to win. That was the core of almost all his books.

fuck...
tobey's at the prime age for some punished spidey too

This poster looks like steaming dog-shit

>Spidey wasn't on a team and often had to track and fight criminals on a shoe string budget. He had to be resourceful and push past his own limits to win. That was the core of almost all his books.
This. Spiderman is better off without Disney. Solo films with a couple of spiderverse tie ins will be more than enough. Seeing Parker constantly suck up to Stark is disheartening. If you strip out all the mcu stuff and adjust Holland's Spidey to be more like the character then you'll definitely get some comfy films. But Toby and Raimi need to return for one more solo outing. Both scenarios can happen.
