I legit think Bowie is a great actor. He's a bit overrated as a musician, but as an actor he is very much underrated.

i like nic roeg (he didn't get a sticky btw) but man who fell to earth goes on too fucking long and i would've really preferred if bowie's character was the main focus, instead we get random scenes like a naked black man swimming in a pool and some office scenes that go nowhere. but when bowie's on screen it's top tier roeg and bowie.

Those office scenes and black guy scenes were supposed to allude to or at least partially explain how Bowie's company and betrayal occured. It's really messy and you just have to piece everything together yourself, it only makes sense a bit when you see rip torn near the end with the black guy. It's just not handled well imo

I got it when I watched it. The story is kind of disjointed, but I think it's by design. Like how time is passing but really your only clue of that is that Buck Henry has less hair every time you see him.

I bought my first DVD player because I found that movie for $10 at a video rental store. I love that film.
