Is the MCU dead?

Phase 4 looks awful, no spideymans also, filled with tv bullshit

RIP?
F?

Remember how I keep saying Disney won't make it to X-Men? Disney won't make it to X-Men.

Spiderman actually is a big deal considering this is a big Literal Who fest. Black Panther 2 is surprisingly far off and how come there was no GOTG 3 announcement at D23? I like that they're experimenting, but this is going to bring the back to 500 mil box offices.

Doctor Strange looks great, the rest is absolute filler garbage.

One and a half years until the next movie?

They're gonna be scrambling to bring back Iron Man and Captain America.

>No Spider-Man
>No Iron Man
>No Captain America
>No X-Men
>No Fantastic Four

So it’s just Thor and a bunch of filler, how exhilarating

Looks pretty shitty

>Is the MCU dead?
Are you a fucking idiot?

this is going to be a low energy phase. not a lot of jaw dropping movies, not much story set up, they're throwing a ton of stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. both the Loki and Dr. Strange shows are going to be multiverse, and one of the shows is outright called "What if".

I have a feeling they're going to wait a few years before doing anything x-men related, which the F4 will probably be a part of. they'll milk anything they can out of whats left after endgame before setting up the next big round of avengers.

It'll be terrible and possibly even lose some profitability in Phase 4, but let's not kid ourselves... MCU is to big to fail at this point.

>Guardians of the Galaxy? Who? THE MCU IS FINISHED
>Black Panther will flop! THE MCU IS FINISHED
>Captain Marvel will flop! THE MCU IS FINISHED
>Infinity War was the pinnacle! THE MCU IS FINISHED
>Endgame was the pinnacle! THE MCU IS FINISHED
>Phase 4? Who cares, Spider-Man is no more! THE MCU IS FINISHED
Every single time.

Fans will still see it but yeah its a shit phase and they'll need something to revitalize it.

I was fairly excited up until Endgame but right now there's almost nothing to look forward to. For the past few years we've had a new Marvel movie every few months. The new Doctor Strange isn't coming until a few months into 2021. I don't give a fuck about those TV shows.

This is the same shit they've been putting out for 10 years, how will it be any different?

₪0.02

I think it looks solid
>Black Widow might be a solid spy action movie
>Eternals will likely be pretty weird
>Falcon and Winter Soldier has a good cast and good director
>Shang Chi will hopefully be schlocky 70s kung fu goodness
>Dr Strange 2 might actually be a good pop horror flick
>Wanda Vision might also have horror undertones
>What If will be cute
>Hawkeye will probably be solid, Renner is a good actor and it involves his ronin days
>Thor 4 might be entertaining

Marvel fatigue is real though. So many people have told me that Endgame was their last Marvel flick, some people tapped out after Infinity War. People loved Homecoming and Spider-man is a beloved character, so FFH making a billion was no surprise. But if you really expect to see people flock out to The Eternals, you're clinically braindead.

Nigga did I say it was finished? All I’m saying is I’m not interested in any of that shit. Eternals? Fuck that shit

>and how come there was no GOTG 3 announcement at D23?
Gunn is over at DC making Suicide Squad 2

People have gas-lighted themselves so hard into believing that MCU was always an juggernaut that they forget that phase 1 and 2 was full of absolutely terrible films like IM2 & 3, Thor dark world... hell how many people even remember that Hulk 2008 was overseen by god emperor feige?
There were numeous points where the MCU could have flopped and started a death spiral, but so far they've always managed to pull out an avengers or winter soldier when they needed it.

Will they do it again... or will the consistently high quality of films in phase 3 come back and bite them in the ass when everything in phase 4 is mediocre and populated with actors that can't carry shit films like RDJ and Chris Evans?

You have sex, virgin.

Why are all the TV shows they're making taking 2 years to produce?
They should be coming next year not 2021 why the delay? These shows have already had shoots and shit it makes no sense, TV shows take like 6 months to make.

They'll all break $1 billion and incels will make up outlandish conspiracy theories again

>Marvel fatigue is real though.
lol Spider-Man Far From Home is the highest grossing Spidey film ever

I don't care about any of this but the What If.. stuff. I think the anons who are expecting actual horror from Strange 2 are setting themselves up to be disappointed. It will be a slapstick quipfest like the first film

They will, and they can easily just make it a Disney+ show. Phase 4 is just the confirmation of the end. Disney+, so far, is a damn good deal for the price. and before they up their price every 6 months, we'll still get some pretty good content. That being said, there is just no reason to go to the movies to see a Disney film, let alone, a Marvel film, because most of the shit, so far being filler, will be Disney+ exclusives. I have no interesting in seeing a film in theaters if I have to watch a show to get the rest of the story. Fuck that.

READ NIGGAH READ
People don't purely associate Spider-man with the MCU tho, he was a box office draw years before Tony Stark and as I said, the goodwill of Homecoming was the real draw. Now the MCU is wrapped up in a tight little bow, riskier outings won't rake in the cash, part of the reason for Marvel Fatigue is loss of lovable characters, audiences are sick off origin stories.

>But if you really expect to see people flock out to The Eternals, you're clinically braindead.
Everyone here said the same thing about GOTG and Captain Marvel, retard. You dumb fuckers never learn

The only parallel for the MCU would probably be the Universal Monster era of films from the 20s-50s. ~30 years for MCU sounds plausible but I just can see people getting excited for another 10 years.

>Guardians of the Galaxy
Was actually good and well-marketed.
>Captain Marvel
Literally hammocked between Infinity War and Endgame, the Nick Fury scene in IW fooled people into believing that Captain Marvel was integral to the plot so they went to see it just to prepare for Endgame. Also there was a girlpower push so women who flocked to see Wonder Woman saw it too. I'm not going to act as if that shit doesn't work in a popular genre where women are rarely leads.

>Didn't even beat Aquaman
>Couldn't make more domestically than Raimi's Spider-Man from 17 years ago
For the biggest hero, from the biggest comic company, in the biggest franchise of all time I'm honestly not impressed

DISNEY SABOTAGE XMEN PHOENIX

Why are they waiting so long to bring in the X-Men?

Marvel is going balls-deep on progressiveness. The next Avengers lineup is going to be:

>Captain Marvel (Leader)
>Natalie Portman Thor
>Gwyneth Rescue or Stark daughter Iron Girl
>New She-Hulk since Hulk’s arm is fucked
>New blond Black Widow
>New female Hawkeye from tv series
>Wasp or Ant-Man’s daughter
>Captain Falcon

Spider-Man was supposed to be the token white guy, but that’s no longer on the table. This way Marvel:

>gets to cash in on the iconographic IP of the male characters they’ve developed
>gets to use cheaper actors
>wins Twitter points

Now let’s see if it will actually succeed.

LIES LIES LIES LMAO

god she is fucking hot

this

>New blond Black Widow
oh no, they replace a woman with a woman...

>no spideymans also
Those two films didn't stand out particularly well anyway, I'm actually intrigued how they will address Spiderman not coming back in-film.

The Eternals will flop. All Marvel has for the next 5 years and phase 4 is Black Widow and Doctor Strange. It's all crashing down

It's a damn miracle that it has even lasted this long. The MCU's juggernaut status is on borrowed time till the new flavor of the decade shows up.

They have no incentive to see these movies when there's no more overarching narrative or Avengers anymore. There isn't even fucking Spiderman anymore. You act like Captain Marvel wasn't advertised in Infinity War and Thanos wasn't in GOTG (both of them are Marvel's best movies anyways)

Really does look like the shark jumping point, but they've surprised before. Just never with SO much completely new & mostly unheard of/untested shit at once before. And the shit that has been tested in the comics all flopped, hard.

Assumedly to amortize new subscriptions to Disney+, give something to drive new subscribers after the first wave

>Disney+
literally why even bother. Anything TV gets pirated like its the prohibition, the hell kind of money do they think they can squeeze out of another cable package?

This really.
Even their going the UltraSuperJew route of insisting on a TV type scheduled, drawn out release scheme isn't going to help; in fact that kind of shit is likely to hurt it instead.
I'd expect a fuck ton of DMCA notices for torrenting their series, though, you know they're going to bitch & reeeee over it as much as possible.

>Muslim Blade
>She Hulk
>Ms. Marvel
>Female Thor
>Black Panther II
Marvel is literally fucked.

>Will they do it again...
Nope, there was the promise of an infinity gauntlet carrot at the end of the stick, now that carrot is gone.

Nobody cares and it is obvious Disney is currently talentless. GOG 3 is the only movie people can agree to look forward to.

>this is Marvel's two year plan
What the fuck were they thinking? They should've pushed Captain Marvel and Far From Home back to fill this shit out.

Attached: 1539759006548.png (483x470, 184K)

In Doctor Strange I'm hoping they do more with Dormammu...

why the fuck are there still even phases of this shit? I'm just waiting for people to stop going to see these shit movies and this stupid ass trend of endless capeshit to stop. I'm so fucking tired of it and Disney is such a trash company with a dumbass cult following.

The sole purpose of the Dr Strange movie seems to be bringing the Xmen & possibly FF into it.

Disney was cooking the books with black panther and captain marvel though. Both are among the worst mcu movies

I think Disney was definitely cooking the books with Captain Marvel and Black Panther. Marvel was a bit more obvious, but I think all those "programs" to buy tickets for inner city black kids should be investigated. I know that its rare to see such a huge US turnout and such a small overseas response on a marvel film.

And I say that to see how those sequel perform without the backbone of the avengers holding it up and their finances being scrutinized.

Attached: 1547585329242.gif (800x800, 230K)

Guaranteed. The assumption here is that any of us fucking believe the lies that come out of Disney's mouth to begin with.

>trying to cash in on black widow over five years too late
>literally who:the team
>does anyone give a shit about wanda
>probably will do well
>does anyone give a shit about Hawkeye
>ok choice, might fuck it up
>will probably be compromised by Disney trying to be sensitive to asian americans like how they fucked up Princess and the Frog
>Doctor Strange wasn't a good movie, but this might do ok
>dumb futurama episode
>Natalie Portman is too much of a dried up cunt to be an action hero

That's even better but how does that make it a horror movie?

>posts old graphic like a retard

Dude, MCU has She Hulk, Moon Knight, etc - characters that you fags have been begging for since day one. Don't get mad at us that Swamp Thing was cancelled and Doom Patrol is all about trannies.

Hollywood is retarded. Never try to understand retardation. You can't.

I know nothing about the eternals but my guess is they're going to go the route of thor and ape off Guardians of the galaxy, so that may be appealing to people
