Can someone with an understanding in human anatomy explain to me why we humans have the neural motor commands for performing the Force Pull despite the fact there's no such thing?
I've been trying to reach my phone for half an hour and tried all of the tricks and psychologically they feel like they should work, even though it contradicts basic physics.
WTF?
Can someone with an understanding in human anatomy explain to me why we humans have the neural motor commands for...
nigga it’s a plastic prop on a string
>HI GUYS REDDIT HERE I HAVE A REALLY DUMB QUESTION I'D LIKE TO ASK

>WHATUP YOUTUBE, It'S YA BOY _____. YO HAS ANYONE ELSE EVER WONDERED....WHY *CAN'T* WE FORCE PULL? ME AND BOY B BOUTTA FIND OUT, LET'S CHECK IT OUT sponsored by motorola
>He can't force pull
That's not the point, the point is why does it feel like it should work?
Because you want it to work and you’re used to getting what you want.
The psychology of grabbing stuff, you dumb shit. We precognitively visualize grabbing objects before we grab them. If you focus on just that desire and phase, it enhances it. It's the same reason cats "chirp" when they're watching birds and visualizing RIPPING THEIR FUCKING THROATS OUT BECAUSE CATS ARE DEMONIC LITTLE SHITS. I HATE MY FUCKING GIRLFRIEND'S CAT.
>hating cats

You can user. Of course you can.
But gravity is far too strong, and we would need to be in the pockets of space far outside the reach of any solar masses!!

They said there were no such things as stupid questions. Well, they were wrong!
if you play Portal for along time the same thing will happen to you but with portals. You'll start thinking how to move everywhere with them, and how to bring cups and stuff to you.
The reason is that we are living in a simulation. We have the code built in for telekinesis and flying (some instances have floating islands) but in the current instance those abilities are disabled. Good thread btw.
“Humans” evolved on a planet with slightly longer days and lighter gravity and were moved here a long time ago, it’s why it’s hard to go to bed so early and why our backs are so prone to injury. On this alien planet we’re on, several of our natural psychic abilities stopped working but scientists are not sure why.
This is related to why humans never dream about cell phones even though they are ubiquitous. Dreams feature partial memories of past lives in different dimensions, including realities were we can move object with our minds, and the current plane of reality is the first in history where Steve Jobs invented the smart phone.
>it’s why it’s hard to go to bed so early and why our backs are so prone to injury
That's not why.
It's because we're a pray species so it's our natural inclination to enter a watchful pre-sleep phase. Also all the oodles of artificial light we happen to expose ourselves to in the year 2019.
And the back thing is because humans only started walking upright less than 500,000 years ago, which is the blink of an eye, in evolutionary terms. It's still a very new development, so of course there's going to be a few kinks left to work out
How high are you right now, OP?
No.
It's because you don't "See" your phone in real life, either. You're always looking "through" it, to the information and interractions on it. Any time you're looking at your phone, your mind is on what's being displayed, and thus, not on the phone.
Also I see my phone in my dreams all the time.
Because you've seen other people do it on TV and in movies, and your subconscious can't tell the difference between real life and fiction.
Decent thread, 8/10
I'm going to answer OP and no one is going to believe me and you are going to dismiss what I say and go back to your lives.
Here is how to move something with your mind. It isn't in your hands. It is between your brain and spinal cord. You need to concentrate on the spinal cord, which acts as an antenna with what you are trying to move.
I've only had some success and it was really hard. I imagine it would take many years of training to barely move stuff. So there you go. Don't reach out with your arm. Concentrate on a rocking motion on the object with your mind while pushing with your spinal cord. Your back muscles will get really tense if you are doing it right.
This is literally the worst thread I’ve ever seen on Yea Forums and that’s an incredibly low bar.
First day?
Tried it, it's a pressure sensation in the back of my head, just like with the outstretched arm it feels like it should work but it doesn't.
Still can't get the phone to move.
>Tried it
Dude it takes hours to get a swinging object barely to move.
I force pulled in the shower this morning
I tried it too, doesn't work. By your logic something lighter would be easier to move, just tried it on a lightly balanced tiny piece of paper.
Used to have the same issue with my ex’s cat. God damn they just were never meant to be house pets they’re too wild yet people insist on hindering their instincts by making them into living plush toys.
t. live with fiancée and 2 dogs
You are envisioning the motion of getting something similarly to the way you do that while you physically grab something. Not trying to hate on the ((unknown)) but telekinesis just doesn’t make sense in the real world. Even in Star Wars they acknowledge that it’s an external force that ALLOWS some people to tap into, so even there telekinesis doesn’t exist. It’s some omnipotent FORCE.
But why does my brain allow me to believe I can grab something out of reach? Seems evolutionary defective. And I'm not the only one who has this issue.
Go ask >>/x/

>he doesn't a comfy companion around to rid his property of vermin
Go follow your dog around and pick up its shit, fag.
I think you're literally autistic, I'm not even insulting you. user, that's a weird fucking concept. Why can we envision magic and gods and technology that doesn't exist? It's call imagination. It's abstract thought. Fascination with the unknown or impossible. As a species we strive not for survival or domination, but control and understanding. Concepts of things beyond us are a part of that. Animals don't do that. We do, however much we're animals we're a higher lifeform.
Your midichlorian level is too low
Evolution isn't a refinement process, it's adaptation. Evolution is 'this works well enough that it isn't killing me'. That's why koalas can turn their brains smooth from eating so much fucking poison, it works for them. It renders them more and more invincible as they age because they're so full of poisonous eucalyptus. If evolution was a refinement process, they wouldn't be functionally retarded, unable to comprehend the single tree they live got cut down, unable to find another tree to live on.
I know what you're talking about. I kept the sleeve of a coat rocking back and forth doing what you described while I was in between sleep and consciousness.
bro, do you even force lift?
