A love letter to cinema
A love letter to cinema
was he right?
based
I don’t know honestly. Guess I will have to see it once more to decide whether I liked it or not. Right now I can’t wrap my head around it desu
nah
It was kino, but I doubt it'll have that much of an impact
What was the median age of the theater you saw this in? My date and I had to be the only people under 50 in there.
I enjoyed the movie, but felt like I was missing out because I was so young.
an odd experience, but still an enjoyable movie.
DU//H8 are his best though.
It was a good movie, but it just wasn't a good Hollywood movie.
Same here, and we went on a Friday night 7pm showing yesterday, granted it's been out for a few weeks now.
The most bizarre thing was the fact that the theater in general, one that once was filled to brim back in my youth (have not been there in eyars) I went to do was basically dead, at peak time Friday night....surreal
It was a love letter to foot fetishism
I didn’t pay much attention but I’d say people of ages really. You see in my country there’s this cult of Tarantino of sorts, so people always flock to his movies thinking that it will be something spectacular. Idk how to explain desu.
both things can be true.
but this movie was like 3 movies worth of foot scenes. Tarantula must have overcompensated for Hateful Eight
This movie was a death letter to Asian masculinity
A love letter to feet and alleged wife killers, and a hate letter to Bruce Lee
I think I get it.
What country did you see it in?
Pretty much desu. A child would say Inglorious Basterds, an adult says Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
>A child
Would praise anything by Tarantino
Margot Robbie's dirty feet
Once Upon A Time is a multilayered Onion. Its a juxtaposition thematic experience; the deadly serious and the enlightened serene. Cliff Booth is the enlightened Serene and Rick Dalton is the deadly serious. But what is telling is of how the gin blossom Cliff Booth is a cold blooded Realist and Rick, despite his seriousness is a goof ball stuck in la la land.
>Shitty flick is love letter to cinema
wut
"Lick them clean, user?"
Yes.
Just got in from a second viewing.
It flew by, I didn't want it to end.
A shitty Eastern European one
I'm so sorry
Thanks pal
Why does everyone dick ride this movie much, it's nothing that Fellini or Altman hasn't done before and better.
>a tour de france
because it came out in today's capeshit-ridden climate
Brad Pitt is fucking amazing, probably brings the movie up a point on the 10 scale by himself
This. Enjoy it while you can
Nah, it's fucking amazing but still isn't on the level described in that post
Fair point but post like this are autistic It's an okay movie with very good meta-commentary but lacks fleshed out characters or a very interesting narrative. I will agree though it's probably the best thing to come out this year. Feel like this movie would have been better if Paul Thomas Anderson was the director/writer.
no
I wouldn’t go that far but it is extremely good, it’s among the best I’ve seen this decade
>best thing to come out this year
but Dragged Across Concrete came out this year
