Pirating requires you to fumble with torrent applications, hoping whatever obscure shit you like actually has seeds and is of good quality, then waiting for it to actually download. On top of that, you are stuck with just clicking a nondescript icon to play said movie, or even dick around with clicking though multiple icons for tv shows. Of course, you could put it on Plex to give it all a more user friendly interface, but that also takes time and you have to kinda know what you're doing. Then if you're really paranoid, you have to get yourself a VPN, which is a bitch to deal with if the only technology you play with is you iPhone.
Everything I said is an utter inconvenience to normalfaggots. They are completely tech illiterate and they would waste hours every time they wanted to pirate something just trying to figure out for the nth time wtf a torrent even is and how to get what they want.

It's marketed mainly towards kids. If you've ever been to a restaurant or such, you've seen how parents raise their kids: they sit them down with an ipad and let them just mindlessly watch shit. Shit like Youtube used to be safe up until all freaky kids videos started popping up like the Spider-Man Elsa stuff and the Finger Family shit (and I'm sure Disney had a hand in promoting the shit out of how unfamily friendly Youtube had become) so Disney+ provides a safe option for parents. They can trust Disney not to put porn and shit on there, so their kids can just watch it on their ipad all day.

I honestly don't see how they're NOT going to beat all services. They have an amazing backlog of movies, series, cartoons and documentaries. Then they have the Fox archive.

Netflix has hundreds of things, but 95% is pure shit.
The only other service that could compete is HBO, but they urgently need a constant stream of new content (Time Warner with its movies, series and cartoons is a must). Only thenwill they be the only rival. Netflix will lose, hard.
