I find her character annoying not because she's a lesbian, but because she's so full of herself. She thinks who she is. Apostrophes are used to pluralize words in many languages. It's an error commonly made by people who aren't native English speakers, not just something the internet started doing.

This is why the book is much better. The show doesn't do it justice desu. Douglas is a former military high school jock type while Holden is a suit and tie dweeb with relationship issues. They did work with a female psychologist on some side work that is true but she was not that involved in their day to day work as in the show.

Also there are a lot more interesting lesser known cases in the book than just meme Kemper and BTK. I don't even know why they had to include BTK because for them to remain true to the real life situation, it's not something they can uncover during this show because he was caught in the 2000's and it wasn't profile that caught him but his own lack of computer literacy and arrogance.

I like the show fine enough, but if you're watching the show without reading the book at all you're doing it wrong. Don't like reading then at least get the audio book.

Only seen season 1 so far but what really annoyed me about the show was turning Douglas into Holden made the character seem kind of dumb. Instead of having the kind of intelligence and intuition seen in the real man our shows hero has to work things out accidentally whilst talking to his boring girlfriend. None of the relationships for the three leads were interesting.
