75% of the show was about a guy black people think was set up to take the fall. They literally got upset because he's not the right skin color. 15% was about Wendy. Ugh I want the time of my life spent watching her scenes back. 5% bill 4% mindhunting 1% holdon and his panic attacks. I guess the writers kinda forgot this was supposed to be a thing.
Holy fucking shit. That was one of the most disappointing shows I've ever seen. I like the first season, it was interesting and had very little political shit shoehorned in. But wow, season 2 went off the rails. Non stop political race shit and very little actual story/character development. The subject of this thread pretty much sums it up, they ruined mindhunter. They took it out back beat it over the head with the hammer of social justice and trotted its corpse back on stage expecting us to not notice the difference. This is why I don't watch tv anymore. I'd cry if it weren't so funny that people watch shows like this and think they're deep, intelligent shows lol.
go back to /pol/ or whatever incel board you frequent
Parker Phillips
I'd switch around Wendy and Bill. She was cast to the side this season and we learned a lot more about Bill's family drama. Despite what you think, this does happen in real life. Black people refuse to accept other blacks, especially in their community could ever be a suspect in a crime.
Brandon Scott
It's literally keeping Netflix alive and if the investigation is going to be about 20 dead African American kids, of course race will be brought into it
But why did the investigation need to be about that? To push a polical agenda. And they pushed it hard. Any show that does that is immediately shit in my opinion. Because its not about creating a good show anymore its about pushing a message. Propaganda essentially.
Luis Phillips
How can that be when black cities have hundreds of black on black murders every year.
Bentley Lee
Holdon really got the shaft. His character was set up for big development but was ultimately pushed aside and forgotten.
Joseph Bennett
Well, maybe not every arrest. But haven't you noticed that for the ones that are national news like Trayvon or the one nig that got shot after robbing the gas station there's always people saying they were completely innocent? Anyway they clearly did not even want the audience to agree with the uppity black women to go after the KKK or the whites, at least that was how I saw it so I don't know what OP is getting at.
Jaxon Evans
Stopped after 3 episodes. Imagine if this were 2003-2010 and your favorite shows blatantly pushed agendas like this. Mindhunter is very methodical, so it's toned down but not proportionally. Fincher imho did Sorosflix a solid and now they greenlit his dad's script for $80 million feature about how Orson Welles ripped off a Jewish savant.
This world is literally incredibly fucking surreal. Used to be funny but it's like the walls are closing in. Once Boomers are gone, their money dispersed into the system, what will content be like? Mindhunter had kino potential. Doubt Fincher returns for season 3.
Levi Fisher
Yeah, but wasn't the entire first season mostly about him?
I keep wondering about the 4th guy, who wasn't even shown in the last episode. I kept thinking they were going to fire him, but it just never came. Is it supposed to be an inside joke.
They're pissed at him because he ratted them out in S1. Gregg has done nothing wrong
Jonathan Reyes
Soros' son/grandson will take over and get most/all his money and it won't end because he has the same views as Soros. I imagine others have the same plans.
Chase Rivera
He's the designated character people shit on.
Benjamin Morgan
It's true, he's white and got a wife and kids and pretty sure Christian
Brayden Nelson
You know this is based on the book by the real people that went on to start doing serial killer profiles, right? The whole atlanta thing was a big part of that book too, this just kinda proportional to the amount that they talked about it on the book, and they are going chronologically
Jaxon Thompson
>they clearly did not even want the audience to agree with the uppity black women to go after the KKK or the whites I really want to believe that but at the end where holdon is watching the mayor (I think?) give a conference about them closing the investigation, right after the uppity negress had told holdon she didnt think Wayne did it, it looks like holdon has a realization that she was right and the cops in Atlanta were the bad guys. And the little pop up screen explaining how none of the child murders have been solved, and Jim Barney saying they were given false evidence to impede their investigation, leads me to believe they are trying to convince the simple minded that Wayne Williams didn't kill the kids and that maybe the kkk was involved. Idk, maybe it was close to reality. Just the fact that we had to go into that case in particular feels contrived given the current climate of race relations in the real world.
Anthony Phillips
I'll admit, I had no idea it was based on a book.
Carter Green
>leads me to believe they are trying to convince the simple minded that Wayne Williams didn't kill the kids and that maybe the kkk was involved. You are just looking for things to be offended by, one of the major things that was hit at was the profiles and the conclusion are far from perfect, the co-ed killer even told them they only have the data from stupid or serial killers that wanted to be caught, the whole atlanta thing just goes to show that their methods are in fact imperfect, no satisfactory answer was found for the Atlanta child murders
It's boring. It's just one episode stretched over one season.
Grayson Rogers
I don't know. They had some moments that seemed pretty biased towards Wayne being the perpetrator for, if not all, a good portion of the kids, especially the ones who knew each other. Like that scene where he's turned lose and is being picked up and has this eerie sort of staring contest with Holden, almost like it was a "close but no cigar" moment
Luke Morales
Lesbian/feminism shit was first season too. You have to ignore those parts. Unfortunately there was a lot to ignore this season.
Kayden Flores
>You are just looking for things to be offended by Maybe.... But either way I don't think the show was good. The story just wasn't interesting to me, maybe its interesting to shaquita and sheniqua and im just not the demographic anymore. I liked parts of it, like bills son and the interviews. but the main story just felt like shitty cop drama. I've seen much better episodes of criminal minds than that.
Daniel Ross
Fagget
Chase King
I at least wanted to see them naked but we didn't even get that.
Henry Foster
Literally just started episode 1 season 1 and now I need to know if its worth continuing watching this.
Nathan Kelly
Only if you can stand milquetoast Holden.
Kayden Morgan
Season 1 is great. Season 2 has a couple good moment but not very good as a whole. I would watch it because season 3 looks promising.
William Perry
Those digits you got there, are they supposed to be an inside joke?
Nathaniel Reed
Every scene is the same:
>Ford: Let’s use this method >Stupid local cop: We can’t! It’s too expensive / controversial, we should stick to traditional methods! >Ford: But our method has produced the only lead! / Time is against us, what other choice is there?
Fuck this simp show
William Anderson
I watched season 2 first by accident and I liked it better, it felt more cohesive. Season 1 feels more disjointed. Lesbian shit and Debbie shit sucks in both.
Wyatt Rivera
season 2 was great, this board really is shit
Matthew White
Season 2 was shit. You're stupid.
Christopher Perez
wrong
Christian Scott
Wrong. You.
David Foster
t. pleb
Luis Russell
Season 3 is confirmed?
Elijah Ortiz
It's based on the book you incel
Ethan Carter
If they do Robert Hanson like in the book it will be kino
Brody Wright
moron
Thomas Jones
Wow, you're a brainlet, aren't you?
I liked that "75% of the show was about a guy black people think was set up to take the fall." The murderer was a black guy, but of course the locals couldn't believe it because "white is evil". It truly went like that, everybody was blaming KKK and thought that the killings were racially motivated.
Also, this was the first time they actually used their "mindhunting" in practice. What, do you want this show to just be interviews and interviews?
Season 2 was the best kino 2019 (Chernobyl was better tho) has offered us.
Michael Gonzalez
The book does not have anything about a female agent lesbian adventures. The book does not have anything about one agent having a potential serial killer as an adopted son. The book has nothing about panic attacks. The book does mention the job had a lot of stress and he had to get an exercise routine and some shit to help him deal with it. I think because the first season was popualr and did good they decided to milk it and try squeeze out as many seasons as possible so they dumb it down, draw it out etc which is kind of sad. The book mindhunter is really good btw, download the audiobook on piratebay
Wyatt Ross
All that personal shit is to show they all have elements of serial killers.
Holden is the obsessive compulsive who thinks he is smarter than everyone
Wendy is the repressed homosexual
Tensch is the shitty Dad raising a serial killer.
Half the show is watching how this shit is fucking with their heads
Even if you hated season 2 you have to admit the stakeout montage towards the end of the season was one of the best montages ever produced.
Kevin Torres
>All that personal shit is to show they all have elements of serial killers. Yeah that is probably right. That shit is still not in the book though. I think Holden's break down in season was because he realized that he had elements of psychopathic behavior in him, he was using manipulative tactics to getting the psychopaths to talk and when he started realizing that was when he got panic attacks. But if he understands the minds of them then its because he can put him self in their heads which means those things are also in him to some degree.
Wendy is still boring as shit and her parts are skippable and in skipping them the show actually becomes better.
Trench kid showed improvements after he started spending more time with him and the kid spent less time with his mother. It seems like the dad being absent and the mothers coddling behavior fucked with him. It was kind of interesting how they made things in the job relatable to him and his family situation.
>The whole atlanta thing was a big part of that book too, this just kinda proportional to the amount that they talked about it on the book No it isn't, they didn't spend a whole fucking season on it in the book you fucking retard. You haven't read the book
Robert Collins
This is basically where I come from.
The whole point is them putting their shit into practice the first time to actively catch a serial killer and support police
I fucking guarantee everyone's literally mad because black people are in it
