Pretty much this, Whedon is able to make something from the ground up but at best its got a made for TV feel to it. You get snyder a good script and he can make something interesting but you give him full creative control you have a complete shit show

Snyder has a more obvious visual style, but that doesn't make him a good filmmaker, just an easily identified one. As a storyteller and director of actors (even proven good ones), he's all over the fucking place.
