A couple of years ago, I remember watching Blade Runner with my girlfriend. At the time, she was mid-transition into the full-blown radical feminist she would become. It got to the part when Deckard pushes Rachael up against the wall and demands she kiss him. Girlfriend broke into this crazy tirade about privilege and tropes that oppress women, etc., while the movie is still going on.
I just remember becoming vehemently defensive of the scene and the film and mad that I had to explain his motivation to her.
We broke up a few months later, and she is in ANTIFA now, so I guess things worked out OK.
