If you want to be technical, there's very little (aside from I think Paypal) that he had an actual hand in developing.
His claim to fame is supporting the various techs that everyone else laughed at and said were impossible. Tesla and SpaceX are both examples of these shenanigans. He's probably doing more harm than good with his face on the Tesla front these days but as far as SpaceX there is literally no other rocket company on the planet that can currently match their cost to launch because everything they've spent the past decade proving their shit is possible; everyone else spent said decade laughing at and saying it was impossible.
