What's the context of this stupid forced relentlessly meme?

Good riddance. I can't wait for capeshit to implode on itself.

It's a quote from a Yea Forums post, user.

based relentlessly handsome poster

>I think we all would agree that this is the greatest Spiderman of all time
The fact that there are so many people on here who prefer the Raimi trilogy proves that they're not angry about mediocre capeshit, they're angry they got old and popular culture left them behind.

Tom Holland >>>>>>> Tobey Maguire.

The only thing I'll give the Raimi trilogy credit for is that they're at least better than Andrew Garfield's tenure. I still have no idea what the fuck they were thinking casting him.

Actually, there is one other thing I'll give the Raimi trilogy credit for - Willem Dafoe giving zero fucks and just completely throwing himself into the role even in that stupid cheap plastic halloween costume.

You can't do this to Tobey. He started these movies. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH HE SACRIFICED?

real shit tho, would holland in the raimi films be an improvement?

>no more iron-man
>no more captain america
>no more spider-man
>no more thanos
What's the point of ever watching new MCU movies now?

Raimi fans might get their wish unless the mouse has a trick up their sleeve (and I’m sure they do). Apparently Sony cannot make any sequels to the Tom Holland films and they can’t use Tom Holland as Spider-Man without Disney. Because those are MCU properties. It’s the same reason they can’t put Spider-Man in the spinoffs they’ve been making. Meaning they have to reboot Spider-Man again or make a sequel to one of the ones they’ve made.

The MCU deal was for five films supposedly which is why the negotiations came up again. But there might be more to that could stall Sony from making Spider-Man films for a while and might legally prevent them from retaining the rights indefinitely because of it (spin offs don’t count I believe)

He's the best teenage Spider-Man. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were way too old for the teenager-with-superpowers shit.

Barely. Tom Holland is definitely the better spiderman (I don't think I've ever liked Tobey Maguire in anything), but Raimi's films are just so formulaic and cartoony I don't think any amount of swapping actors around would improve them greatly.

For the early 2000s, they were pretty good. I watched them at the time, and I enjoyed them moderately. But we've come a long way since then. Just look at the design of Raimi's Green Goblin vs. the Vulture in homecoming. In fact, never mind the design, look at the writing and performances for each of the two characters - one feels like a cartoon brought to live action, the other feels like a real man trying to keep his business afloat and provide for his family. These days the technology is better and the writing has evolved.

I respect Raimi's trilogy as decent for their time and a necessary stepping stone (although I think the X-Men films were better), but anyone still holding onto them is just doing so out of nostalgia.

I fucking hate the suit. So no. Maguire was the best Spidey. Had actual villains, best MJ, and the best Spiderman movie which is 2.

Holland is the best Peter. Has the best mommy too.

>He's the best teenage Spider-Man.
He's the only one, idiot.

Homecoming has no redeeming qualities from a film making perspective, what the fuck are you talking about?

>Homecoming has no redeeming qualities from a film making perspective

>You know you've been spending too much time on Yea Forums when...

90s cartoon Spider-Man was the best adaptation, none of the live action movies were faithful enough and turning Peter Parker into white Miles Morales and sidekick of Stark was the worst thing that happened with the franchise. fuck Disney and fuck the sups, they deserve to bankrupt after ruining all of the good beloved franchises of the old nerds that suffered bullying during the 80/90s

You must be fucking joking. Homecoming is the worst movie I've ever watched and that's saying something in regards to capeshit because I watched most of the previous MCU capeshit shlocks, as well.

The writing is embarrassing on all accounts. The main story sucks ass (but I guess passable for a capeshit movie), the acting performances are atrocious with the exception of Keaton, the dialogue is probably the worst part of it all - "BENIS BARKER, HEEHE." followed by nonstop quips by every fucking character. Comedy moments at the wrost possible situations - "oh, thousands of people are gonna die from this, better quip my way in the battle". Every character is basterdized - from Flash who is now an overweight manlet Pajeet to Spider-Man himself who is now Iron Boy Jr. apparently and pretty much a sidekick in his own movie. The CGI effects are something out of a PS3 game. Literally. The boat scene that the movie shamefully tried to copy from Spider-Man 2? That was embarrassing. There is no drama or stake in anything, Peter Parker has everything he wants, there is no struggle. The core concepts of the character are completely taken apart. Each scene was just quip, quip, more quip proceeded by shitty effects and bad choreography fight scenes.

There's some incest tensions in the movie as well with aunt May. Some political comments that felt extremely forced. Quite honestly, I'd rather have spend my time bashing my head against a wall than watch that movie. Even for MCU standards it was low.

FAGGOT ZOOMER

True.

At the end of the day it's all capeshit and I'm not going to defend any of it as great works of art, but Homecoming is objectively better than any previous spiderman movie.

>The main story sucks ass
Really? Family man is screwed over by the government and resorts to stealing back what they took from him is worse than 'crazy guy dresses up in green halloween costume because he huffed some of his own drugs'?

>the acting performances are atrocious with the exception of Keaton
That's a matter of opinion.

Yours is wrong. Tom Holland is leagues better than Tobey Maguire, and the supporting cast feel like real highschoolers instead of the cardboard cutouts Raimi used.

>Every character is basterdized - from Flash who is now an overweight manlet Pajeet
No one even remembers him from the Raimi trilogy so who cares. Frankly, I like it that peter's main bully is an arrogant pajeet obsessed with his father's money and status (spot on characterisation there) rather than the typical evil aryan ubermensch stereotype - brown people can be assholes too.

> Peter Parker has everything he wants
He desperately wants to be accepted by Tony Stark as a real hero and instead he loses his respect and has to earn it back. He wants to get with Liz, but ends up ruining her life. Homecoming portrays the orphan Peter Parker desperately searching for a father figure while trying to find acceptance among his peers a shitton better than the Raimi trilogy did. Do you honestly think Tobey Maguire's interactions with Willem Dafoe were played better than om Holland's with Robert Downey Jnr?

>Quite honestly, I'd rather have spend my time bashing my head against a wall than watch that movie.
Please do. A brain haemorrhage could only be an improvement for you.

I'm probably older than you - old enough to have been able to view the Raimi movies objectively at the time, rather than accept them with the undemanding standards of a child and then never take off my rose tinted glasses.

>UNCLE BEN WAS A NIGGER!
Raimi is /our guy/
To somehow get away with something like that?
Impressive and yet redpilled

I agree 60% in what you posted

You mispelled Toby

Back to /r9gay/ with you incel

Homecoming was the least worst in this duology, the sequel was definitely not a spidey movie. Kys mcuck

>Really?
Miles worse. For one, by the time the main story starts he should have had plenty of money to retire. There is zero reason why he stuck around for close to 10 years doing that shit and going with the "one last job". What the fuck was he doing for 8 years? Sucking his dick? In a hybernation mode? The movie glosses all over that. Second, as far as Goblin is concerned, you're forgetting that he was basically pushed into taking that drug because the company was going to oust him. You also quite obviously missed the fact that even though the serum made him crazier, it didn't rid him of his faculties. His goals were still the same, with some few new added ones - like getting a revenge on those who pushed him to the limit. Vulture has no real goal besides being an obstacle to Spider-man for shits and gigles
>Yours is wrong
How am I wrong? Show me a single acting scene of note from Homecoming and I'll show you from the Raimi movies. Deal? The only thing Holland did in that movie is make stupid faces and quip like a retard, that's literally it. As far as the "supporting cast", can you even name one of the supporting cast? Who were the others? The hot popular girl with a heart of gold and the fat loser nerd of a friend. Talk about cardboards.
>No one even remembers him
He is more memorable character than Holland's Parker. No, a fucking overweight pajeet manlet wouldn't be able to bully anyone. Not only it's inaccurate in the comics but it's pretty ridiculous given that Holland is a buffed guy. Now 6'5 uber Chad like Flash is supposed to be should cause insecurities in Holland, but MCU Flash? Please.

>He desperately wants to be accepted by Tony Stark
Oh fucking please. Why does he need to be accepted by Tony Stark? Spider-man is an outcast, he doesn't need anyone, much less a C-lister. Why the fuck does he have to prove himself to anyone? That's not what his character is. And in the end he gets Stark's "respect", so your whole point is moot. He never really lost it either. Not like Stark ever abandoned his Iron Boy Jr. aside from giving him a little speech on the rooftop.
>He wants to get with Liz, but ends up ruining her life.
He doesn't ruin her life. Vulture was going nowhere. Spider-man is a chump in the MCU, if he could stop him, it would have been a matter of time before the big heroes got to him. That was Vulture. Besides, her life is of no consequence to Peter. We're talking about his life here.
>Homecoming portrays the orphan Peter Parker desperately searching for a father figure while trying to find acceptance among his peers a shitton better than the Raimi trilogy did.
AN ORPHAN? Is this a fucking joke... again? He has a fucking sugar daddy and a MILF Aunt, and apparently lives in a pretty nice apartment from what I remember. He doesn't have money problems and his suits are Stark tailored made robots with AI and everything he wants. The fuck are you on about? None of what you said makes any sense. I do not even remember him crying about a father figure or whatever, he was just a fanboy of Stark (again, uncharacteristic to what Spider-man is)
>Please do. A brain haemorrhage could only be an improvement for you.
Sorry, I don't take seriously the opinion of braindead monkeys that pretend or god forbid actually enjoy this movie.

>Complaining about Spider-Man quipping
Found the retard, Homecoming is the best Spider-Man movie, keep crying boy.

Only if you haven't read the comicsYes I know Yea Forums hates comics KYS.

>another braindead retard that thinks that Spider-man's whole character revolves around him quipping incessantly which resonates to 12 years old kids
Listen moron, Spider-Man was never a quipping machine. He would midly quip 1, 2 times during a battle but would always take his shit seriously and spend the majority of his time trying to devise a plan to beat usually a stronger opponent. This fucking quipping shit started only with Marvel. I don't know how the fuck Disney manages to convince you apes that their version of Spider-man is the most accurate to the comics or previous adaptations when it is the farthest from the comics.

You use the word relentlessly too much.

>He didn’t quip
>But he quipped midly
LMAOing at this retard

Democrat or republican we can all agree op is a Faggot

not even close dude looks like some twink not even close to being some nerd.

this idiot twink can fuck off, nothing against him he just isnt toby

All the action scenes in Spider-Man Homecoming sucked shit! Cheap and lazy cgi and boring action. Every Spider-Man film ever made had better action scenes.

>He didn’t quip
learn to read, you vegetable-tier handicap. At no point did I say that. There's a difference between making a joke or two during a battle and making an earth devastating battle that has the potential to kill millions into a comedy sketch.

It's spelled Tobey.

You misspelled Iron Man.

Why do normalfags love him so much?

Attached: 1545362774502.png (600x611, 628K)

Normalfags love everything Disney tell them to. They're like drones. I guess it has something to do with people naturally wanting to follow what's popular or mainstream.

Democrat or Republican, I think we all would agree that this is the greatest piece of casting of all time...

Attached: 1_8W7Z4aMRw_etKmtmUpmxWw.jpg (1012x698, 163K)

Because normalfags love anything MCU.

Not even your 8s can save you from this fucking embarrassing post, user.

>Show me a single acting scene of note from Homecoming and I'll show you from the Raimi movies
(not him) Tobey's acting might be the one single factor that puts raimi in contest with the other films.
He was a perfect beta parker in the first 30 mins but never became a convincing super hero.

>but never became a convincing super hero.
This is your interpretation that holds no relevance to anything. For one, what even is a "convincing hero"? Or what does a convincing hero has to be in your eyes? Second,
>Tobey's acting might be the one single factor that puts raimi in contest with the other films.
I know that taste is subjective, but even that has to have its limits. There is not a single thing which you can point to me that is better in that trash movie Homecoming than in any Raimi film, including three. I haven't watched Far From Home and I certainly have no intention, but Civil War and Homecoming has shown me more than enough how bad these movies are. The only Marvel movie I found passable to watch was Winter Soldier. Everything else is below shit and Homecoming was especially worse in that department (maybe because Spider-man is my favorite superhero since child). I had to watch that movie in 10 parts it was so bad. By the middle of the movie I didn't even want to finish it but pushed through somehow.

The raimi trilogy IS better than the others. It's close as fuck for the reason I said. Keep that in mind that's what I mean.
He felt unconvincing because the alpha lines written for him were always cringe.

it's you whose out OP

OUT OF YOUR MIND

Trump supporter, here. Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man. Tobey McGuire was a nerd, but he was too old looking play a high school teenager. Andrew Garfield looked like a teenager, but he was acting like a cool kid and not a nerd. Tom is a proper mixture of both.

I like McGuire better. I have nothing against Holland but I'm not a fan of the pop culture references or how he sucks off Stark or how his life has virtually no struggles and there's no real consequences if he just hangs up the suit since there is a shitload of other heroes that can do the work. McGuire had to juggle the responsibility of being Spiderman, his education, his jobs, and more like the guilt he feels over what he had done to Harry and May. Holland struggles over jungle fever, it just doesn't compare.

The King. STAY. The King.

wouldn't it be funny if evil mcguire raped holland haha
