big dick nick

Draft experts seething at this guy and then not being able to understand why the other QBs slid to R3+ was so fucking funny.

Look at this beautiful man. He looks the part and he’s going to be very solid.

1. TEXANS: C.J. STROUD, QB, OHIO STATE
>the call between C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young was (and will be) extremely difficult. Stroud was the odds-on favorite to win the Heisman Trophy before the Buckeyes lost at Michigan. There's hope in Houston that Davis Mills can be a franchise quarterback but if the Texans are again picking in the top-3 this time next year, that means Mills never materialized.

2. LIONS: BRYCE YOUNG, QB, ALABAMA
>The 2021 Heisman trophy winner put on a clinic in his first season as a starter at Alabama and I doubt he'll be slowing down. Bryce Young might not have the ideal size that teams prefer, but he's a magician on the field and processes as well as anyone. Young could have an even better supporting cast of talent around him in 2022 and looks up to the task of fighting it out with Stroud for the No. 1 spot. The Jared Goff era goes poof in Detroit.

4. ATLANTA FALCONS: DT from Georgia
>there's a very good chance the Falcons take a QB in 2023, but with the top two guys off the board already, No. 4 is too rich for the next tier.

#4 IS TOO RICH FOR THE NEXT TIER OF QBS

#7. CAROLINA: TYLER VAN DYKE, QB, MIAMI
>Van Dyke's a tier down, but he's a winning player. Panthers fans are hoping for one of the two elite QBs in 2023 but Tyler Van Dyke shined in his limited action in 2021. He has big-time arm talent to go with accuracy and poise which allows him to make all the big boy throws. If Van Dyke can pick up where he left off in 2022, he can cash out after next season.

I will laugh my ass off if next year's draft has all of the qbs slipping into later rounds like they should again. Mock drafts are a joke, fags always have qbs in the first

26. Seahawks (from Denver): Brennan Armstrong, QB, Virginia
>The Seahawks are patient, not reaching for a QB with their 1st pick. But I think this is a good spot for Virginia's Brennan Armstrong, who has done nothing but dominate in his career. Armstrong’s supporting cast in 2022 looks to be a problem but he’s a competitor and a grinder and I bet will find a way to be in the conversation in the 2023 draft as a guy.

27. Dolphins: Devin Leary, QB, NC State
>Devin Leary is by no means a perfect quarterback prospect but at this point in the first round, he's worth a shot. Leary is a tough-as-nails gunslinger who threw for 35 touchdowns to five interceptions in 2021. Leary's an accurate and efficient passer who won't get tricked into making mistakes and he's changed the culture in Raleigh — NC State expects to win the ACC this fall.

Did your favorite team pass on a QB? That might be because C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young are viewed by some teams as safer and/or better pro prospects and worth the wait.

1. Texans: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
>There will likely be a lot of debate about whether Stroud or Young is the best. We've already seen Young win the Heisman and have an all-time great collegiate campaign but if Stroud is able to snag the award, he'll have all the momentum heading into the predraft process. Davis Mills has flashed potential, but Stroud has a much higher ceiling. This will be the pick that returns Houston to relevance in the AFC South.

2. Falcons: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
>Picking between Stroud and Young—both traditional pocket passers—will be difficult. If either of them can deliver a national title, it could be the deciding factor.

PASS ON A QB: Panthers, Jets, Seahawks

6. Detroit Lions: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida
>pass on a QB: Seahawks (again), Bears, Jags, Giants, Commanders, Steelers, Eagles (x2), Dolphins (x2), Titans, etc
32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Kedon Slovis, QB, Pittsburgh

Mock drafter, not even once

1. Houston Texans: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
2. Detroit Lions: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
>Pass on a QB: Panthers, Falcons, Jets, Bears, Giants, Jags
9. Seattle Seahawks: Kedon Slovis, QB, Pittsburgh
>Pass on a QB: Steelers, Commanders, Eagles (x2), Dolphins (x2), Titans, etc
31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Brennan Armstrong, QB, Virginia

i just will never understand why every year we dance this stupid fucking dance with ohio state qbs
they annihilate the big ten with their loaded roster then struggle to learn a playbook and do anything besides a few highlight plays and wash out of the league within a couple seasons, or get hit by a truck
this will happen to fields and it will happen to stroud

Jets probably win 6+ games next season. Bet the over on wins

Attached: D953B058-0408-41AA-B8E8-465EBFF40AA5.jpg (1122x1184, 98.39K)

assuming the Ohio State and Alabama QBs turn out to be vastly overrated by the media, we might be looking at the worst QB class in history next year

>Assuming

There are no assumption, both schools have always churned out shit qbs. I think the only Alabama Qbs to ever win the owl were Joe Namath and Kenny Stabler

to be fair washington and chicago have no fucking clue at QB. it's not supernatural every qb those franchises touch turns to shit.

not saying haskins or fields or jones or pryor or anybody would pan out in the right circumstances at all, they are memes and Michael Vick is the only meme that out athleted the rest of the nfl. just saying it doesn't help that these retarded franchises draft them so high and then get them killed and/or set them up to fail.

ohio state has never had a notable pro quarterback outside of art schlichter

that's a good point, there is always a bit of a cycle with this
>shit franchise has terrible record
>have high pick, draft touted qb
>destroy qb through mismanagement and having a terrible team around him
>qb washes out
>drafts low again, the cycle begins anew
but the hit rate on ohio state qbs is SO low, you really have to wonder what's going on there

Sporting News:

Alabama's Bryce Young and Ohio State's C.J. Stroud will be in a heated battle to be the first off the board, fresh off their competition to win the Heisman

1. Texans - C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State (6-3, 215 pounds)
>Stroud is quickly putting together the total package in Columbus.

2. Lions Bryce Young, QB, Alabama (6-0, 194 pounds)
>Young should also continue to build his skill set, that includes off the charts intangibles and smarts, coming off a stellar Heisman-winning campaign. The Lions need to go here after passing on a QB in 2022.

PASS ON QB: Seahawks, Panthers, Falcons, Steelers, Eagles (x2), Dolphins (x2), Giants, Jets, Jags, Bears, Commanders, Titans, etc

31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Spencer Rattler, QB, South Carolina (6-1, 200 pounds)
>Rattler has a big chance to restore his draft stock with the Gamecocks after fizzling and being replaced in his final season with the Sooners. He has the natural arm strength and athleticism to play himself back into first-round consideration. The key will be more consistent with his accuracy and decision-making.

RATTLER IS BACK BROS!

>sportingnews.com/ca/nfl/news/nfl-mock-draft-2023-predictions/ootkjqkyuc0mvjxrtcbowvfl

>Everyone and their mother mocking the Lions to draft at 2
Come on, I don't think the Rams are going to be that bad.

>Art Schlicter
Just read up on this guy and jesus. Blew through his entire signing bonus midseason from gambling

CJ is literally built different than Fields or Haskins, he is a 6'3" pure pocket passer that gets rid of the ball quick unlike those two and doesn't rely on his athleticism and I think he's a better prospect than Lawrence

Why are mockers so desperate to see qbs drafted in the first round?

Which teams should start tanking for Arch right now?

>Lions NEED a QB

I'm starting to think these mock drafters are paid by sports agents

youtu.be/_2Ldq70yYsc

He’s going to be so fucking good the league doesn’t even know what is waiting for them.

>but the hit rate on ohio state qbs is SO low, you really have to wonder what's going on there

It's always been fairly simple to me. When you have a QB playing on a team with 5-star WRs all over the place, a 5-star OL blocking for him, 5-star RBs, it's going to be impossible for that QB to live up to what he did in college as he's never going to be on an NFL team that has offensive of All-Pros all across WR, the OL, and at the RBs

USC QBs back in the Carroll Dynasty, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Clemson QBs now...

it's just crazy to hype these guys up so much as there are never be surrounded the talent in the NFL that they are in college when they just go around bullying teams with inferior talent

But year after year, the media loves hyping these guys. There have been a few that actually panned out: Burrow, Deshaun Watson, and arguably Kyler Murray

Attached: C7ED0CF4-7E12-4204-99A3-E5F563C2167A.jpg (1284x1510, 1.68M)

>Watson
The dink/dunk guy who's always injured?

Really tired of people sleeping on my texies’ based draft

I loved that dude in college football, was hyping him on /cfb/ a lot, but I never thought he going to end up drafted, just a great player for a service academy. US Air Force Academy got a guy drafted this year too

physically and mentally tough player who spent years getting bullied at school to prepare for the NFL

Used to be they could defer their commission if they got drafted but that stopped doing it so those guys have to put their time in first before they can enter the league

>dirk pousins

I will say fields is the most pro ready version of the last 30-40 years. the haskins thing was the peak of osu overhype though. yes he set records and whatever but dwayne haskins didn't know how to read a playbook and 75%+ of his stats came off swing passes and bubble screens. it floored me that he was being rated so highly.

ohio state (especially during the urban meyer era) achieved notoriety via destroying the rest of the big ten in recruiting and then running the spread and just being bigger and faster than their competition until nonconference games.

their defenses have always been legit though.

currently in prison again btw

at the naval fucking academy no less, how do you even survive in the military with a name like that

Giants-Bears 2021 Trade Complete:

CHI Receive:
• QB Justin Fields

NYG Receive:
• WR Kadarius Toney
• CB Aaron Robinson* ('21 71st overall via trade up using CHI '21 5th round pick)
• OL Evan Neal ('22 7th overall)
• TE Daniel Bellinger ('22 114th overall)

Could’ve easily been far worse imo.

>CHI Receive:
>• QB Justin Fields
instant L

A boy with that name is going to be very popular in the navy.

>Navy

He was probably popular

So like is it pronounced Fago? or Faggot?

Gnats won the trade so far

“Oh Pee”

Fuh-go

Yeah enjoy your 4 wins
The draft is every poverty franchise’s Super Bowl

you sly guy, you absolute silly billy

Would feel much worse if Toney wasn't a bust in the making.

The Lions have some real gift of the magi shit going on. Jameson Williams would have been incredible with Stafford, but the pick they got for Stafford is the only reason he's on the team

t.bill belicuck trying to cope with his garbage draft

that's a US Marine Corps officer, too (Ten-hut! There's an officer on deck!). His dad was an officer in the US Army (infantry)
>Nov 14, 2021: Fagot remains focused on being commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps upon graduation in May

What do you want to do after graduation? >Marine Corps Ground
(which is the only element in the Marine Corps that can seize and occupy terrain, it exists to win battles on the ground by asserting combat power and dominance on the battlefield. Trained in the art of land warfare, these Marines will often be the first on the scene to confront threats around the world)

So he's either an Infantry Officer, Field Artillery Officer, Tank Officer, Combat Engineer Officer, Assault Amphibious Vehicle Officer, or a Low Altitude Air Defense Officer

Back in Jan 29, 2017 he said "My dream [after graduation] is to be a Navy Seal or a Marine"

MIKE linebacker, US Naval Academy. Led Navy in tackles for the last 3 seasons straight (only Navy player to do that since as far back as i checked - 2009). He and safety Kevin Brennan were elected the two Team Captains on defense, which is one of the greatest honors a Navy student-athlete can receive

At least he wasn't bullied in high school
>Fagot was home-schooled so he had to spent a year at the Naval Academy Prep School (Newport, R.I.) before going to the Naval Academy in Annapolis

What song is playing on your headphones in the locker room right before taking the field?
>Enter Sandman by Metallica

Attached: Fagot the US Marine officer.jpg (536x605, 100.2K)

I'd say it's fine. Lions get to start fresh and Stafford got to taste success. Win win
