Ghostbusters 2 isn’t exactly awful but you can tell that Reitman and the cast were just going through the motions with it. None of them were ever enthusiastic about doing a sequel, especially Bill Murray.

Ghostbusters isn’t laugh out loud funny most of the time but the cast has great chemistry and clearly had a fun time riffing together. They genuinely feel like a group of old friends.
