Rick and Morty works best when they’re going on a high concept sci-if adventure, not figuring out why Jerry is depressed or letting an underage teen learn about marriage in the post apocalypse. Or are we forgetting that summer is like what, 16? 17 after this point?

Season 2 overall has better writing than 3. I will agree the tales from the citadel is a solid episode, it’s the best rick and morty episode without our Rick and morty in it. Sort of how blink is the best episode of dr. Who without the doctor really in it.

The Beth episode had some weak lines (you know, THAT cringy one) but I like that it focused on the relation between Beth and Rick. It humanized Rick as a father pretty well.
the weird world with animals was ok/fun.

The pickle rick episode was worth it for the memes alone, and it started well and ended ok, but yeah most of the episode was actually boring shit.

This, Rick saying "morty" in every sentence added to the charm but ig people complained about it. Now he's a freaking god instead of a crazed genius forcing his grandson to go on adventures.
